No use in defending the history, the rules, and the character of this breed to the ignorant. MOst people dont even understand that most pitbull attacks on tv are not even pitbulls, but cross bred dogs that resemble pits. People everyday kill, or eat things killed in very "inhumane" ways. We all wear sneakers of leather, we all wear goose down at some point, we all use medications tested on lab animals. We all hae, or know someone who owns a purebred that was produced by euthinizing others that did not meet standard. When you see an 8 month old bulldog on the leash, want it more than anything you will understand. But lie is aid, lets not beat this until our heads turn blue. You are obviously intelligent and brought up some good points, but I don't think you can compare dog fighting to some of you examples such as wearing leather. Also, I would say that two wrongs do not make a right. Yes, some of the things you brought up might also be disgusting but that does not lessen in any way the impact of dog fighting.

its not really about the white media, but more about the fact that vick is a role model and a ****in starr, anyone whos a star gets hit like this, him being black doesnt help, but he still ****ed himself.

The problem with animals such as dogs and cats is that they competly depend on humans to survive, they are domestic animals that dont have the instincts to survive on their own. There are no dogs and cats in the woods, or at least the kinds we keep at home.

Therefore fighting them is wrong, a dog depends on its owner. It's like a child.

I agree completely. Pets are completely dependent on their masters for food and shelter. A dog in the wild stands no chance since animal control would bring them in immediately and they'd most likely be put down after a few days. I couldn't imagine subjecting my pets to that kind of treatment.

I've seen the culture of dog fighting, they raise the animals to be vicious and anti-social. Even if they were freed they'd never be able to adjust to a normal life after that.
