Opinion on Sultan Ibragimov?

Oh and it should be mentioned that according to many the result in teh final was very controversial. There were those who felt Sultan should have gotten the Gold, and this is not something i heard from one or two fans but from a few respected sources.

It was something with either cuts or KD's where SI should have gotten the stoppage or should have via points. Forget the details but it makes me very curious to check out that fight.

ALSO SI and RC have a history.
SI lost to him in Krasnoyarsk in 98
then outdid him in the olympics (as i said arguably winning gold)
then lost to Solis in 2001 while i beieve Ruslan beat him then.

These two have a history and the fight should be ****in awesome.

In the Olympic final, didn't Sultan lose (very questionably) to Felix Savon -- the greatest amateur HW of all times? Many people felt that Sultan should have gotten the gold.

sultan only has a punchers chance. and a small one at that.

Sultan Ibragimov is a classy boxer in every respect and a credit to his sport!

He has decent power and good hand speed, and he seems like a smart fighter. I was impressed with the wins over Lance Whitaker and Shannon Briggs, both much bigger men. He actually got Whitaker to quit (although it was officially a TKO) after knocking him down three times.

Sultan has the record for fastest KO ever at Madison Square Gardens, over Sergio Mora: 46 seconds.

sir, sultan has fought third and fourth tier types all his life. chagaev with his amatuer background imo will have the upperhand against this third tier boy.

i think that too. the klits have such weak hearts. chagaev may plod right thru them with his steady very few mistakes boxingskills.
and he can eat leather with salsa!!

ive got the chagaev/valuev and chagaev/sprott on dvd.
he dont have hair growing on his shoulders like valuev.
his midsection may not be ripped but he's a solid solid guy.
he may be a plodder but he has a bounce to his step.
and he practices textbook boxingskills with very few mistakes.
