if you seen both fights, Mayweather was briefly stunned, whereas cotto looked like he was about the hit the canvas in bad fashion but recovered after about 45 seconds or something like that.

Why would any boxer want to trade punches. To see who can take the harder punch? I think that's just plain foolish?

To think he has a weak chin when he's never touched the canvas is ******ed.
Well obviously because he's never been hit by a legit flush power shot.

Judah cracked him and he stayed really composed. But Judah isn't exactly Mike Tyson when it comes to power either. He took a flush Oscar left hook at the end of the 12th round too, and continued to throw, which is pretty impressive for a welterweight who just moved up.

These arguments for why Mayweather "runs" are weak. He does avoid being hit but, where is the logic behind standing and waiting to be hit? Who'd do that? No one with a brain. You can not call someone a runner because they use their talent and head to win a fight. Good for him that he has never been KO'd, has an undefeated record, rarely take hits and still has the ability to damage his opponents, both mentally and physically. That does not make for a mediocre fighter in ANYONE'S book. It should not anyway because that is real skill, both physically and technically. Why is a fighter better because he decides to wait to be hit? Do tell.

It was round 4. Mayweather was stunned. For asure. For about 5 seconds. Then he came back and hurt Corley and won the round.
You can see for yourself here ...start at 3 minutes.

People wouldn't mind his style so much if he would just back up his mouth with action. Don't talk smack and then punk out on what you've said.

                  Poet,

I'm questioning your boxing knowledge, and questioning how many Mayweather fights you have actually seen. Something tells me that the first PBF fight you have seen was either Pretty Risky or The World Awaits.

If I may, I'd like to ask you the fights where PBF "ran" when he wasn't fighting a man 15-20 pounds bigger. Have you seen the bulk of FMJ's fights over his career? Genaro? Chavez? Gatti? Corley? Corrales? Judah? Sharmba? etc. Was he "running" in those fights?

If you are going to blame somebody for "punking out", maybe you should look in Oscar's direction. Oscar said : "I'm gonna make this a rough, tough, dirty fight", "The referee is going to have to warn me a couple of times", "When I touch you, "You're gonna hurt for a week", etc. OSCAR WAS THE BIGGER MAN. So, if Oscar couldn't impose his will on a guy two divisions smaller than himself, who is to blame? Oscar dictated a small ring and puncher's gloves. What did he do with all those advantages? Why did Oscar stop throwing once he got countered?

The only one who got buckled in the fight was Oscar. True Story.

                  Get your facts right, mijo.

"cause in britain moving is a bad thing like during the revolutionary war the ****** british soldiers stood in the middle of a field and fired their guns while the smart americans hid behind stuff and just picked them off. my best analogy ever!"

You're a ****ing ******. This forum is supposed to be about boxing, so why bring up war - obviously a subject you have no knowledge of? The americans "hid behind stuff and picked them off" -haha. You ****ing moron.

This is a very good call. It's not like Mayweather has boxed and moved his whole career. But (literally) 12 fights ago, he was fighting at 130 pounds against Jesus Chavez. He fought 4 times at 135, 3 times at 140, 3 times at 147 and once at 154. There is NO ****ing way his body has grown enough to be able to **** with the big boys at 154. But regardless, he does move a lot now, but it's not like he steps out of the way of punches and does nothing... the majority of his offense is generated from counterpunching opportunities when he does duck and slip punches. By the way, if you want to see Mayweather when he is not boxing and moving, watch the Gatti or N'dou fight. He stands right in front of them and destroys them, because he knew that one of their shots wouldn't be devastating, but at 154, it could be, so that is why he moved.
