It's obvious he's not talking about World Champions who by their very definition succeeded at world level.

I'm not defending him just clearing it up for the idiots who are using it to attack fighters who did succeed when they went beyond British level.

Just look at the Marvin Hagler/Alan Minter fight. Brits are FAR FROM CLASSY. From what I've seen/heard they are amongst the most egotistical pieces of scum on the face of the planet. Just look at this very fight to see what I'm talking about. Alan Minter gets SMOKED in Britain, and they RIOT! (Which is common place in Britian.)

Well yeah. Look, some Brits are okay. There are a few exceptions to the rule. In boxing, I'll point to Joe Calzaghe and Lennox Lewis of the past 15 years as guys who were class acts. Even Froch of today. But GOD. People like Haye really give you folks a bad name.

Many British boxing fans do agree with you.

Personally I'm not sure what to believe re. the Klitschkos, it's a lot of 'he-said, she-said' b/s and it's hard to decipher who is telling the truth.

I just want Haye to fight two more competitive heavyweight fights and then retire like he said he would. If it's not the Klitschkos so be it, but at fight some reasonably good standard heavyweights like Povetkin or Chagaev before retiring.

Nothing could be further from the truth. I'm not sure there's a more popular nation in the the UK than the USA.
