I've always considered Vitali the Awkward, overrated brother living in his little brother's shadow. Because essentially that's what he is.

Besides that his resume doesn't even remotely compare to Wlads. 1 loss to Lewis, 1 victory over a 300 pound brit, 1 victory over a washed up golfer, 1 victory over a Johnson who was hoola hooping michelin tires at fight time.

      How's that?

Wlad is much much faster footed
      Has faster hands
      Hits harder with both hands
      Much more skilled defensively
      Has just as much heart
Has fought the better level of opposition
      Has the better Amateur background

The only thing Vitali has on Wlad is the ability to take a punch better.

I couldn't agree with you more. Wlad, at this point in his career, is the complete package and has the record to back this up. Wlad, hands down, beats anyone in the division today with no problem. As for Vitali, who knows where he's at after his numerous injuries and long layoff. I think that alot of fighters today would give him serious problems, where his brother probably would not have any trouble. As for him being a 'force' in the hw divsion, we're just going to have to wait and see how he does against Mccline in September....

I like both Klits and have to be honest, always thought it was Wlad living in his brothers shadow, Vitali was getting all the attention and was the closest to being the linear HW champion after Lewis left the scene. Plus the Sanders loss set Wladimir back a year/18 months in his quest for recognition as the top dog at Heavyweight. It seems like Vitali's return could over shadow his brothers exploits if he beats Sam Peter in convincing fashion [which he will do]. The general public will hold Vitali in higher regard after the Lewis fight, OK he lost but he made a statement in that fight, one which his wee brother is yet to match. That's why a fight with Holyfield is courted by Wlad fans as that fight could propel him into the mainstream consciousness, something which he deserves but has not quite attained, yet...

I think it's too early too make an informed prediction on Vitali vs. Peter(if it happens). Peter hasn't beaten Maskaev yet and we don't know how he'll react to the longest layoff of his career(9 months). As for Vitali, who know what condition he'll be in, and how good he looks, when he faces Mccline in September...

My point is, it's too early to start predicting the winner of a possible Vitali-Peter matchup...

He will unify then share a few belts with his brother. after that he should fight top contenders until he retires.

I'm a great fan of both Klitchkos, but prime for prime, i would say Vitali would beat Wlad, but at this point, yea Wlad can beat Vitali, and i agree with most of the posts here, i don't see any reason why Wlad should not unify, i can't think of anyone that should stop him, the fighter most likely to do that is Peter but i doubt he would beat him because Wlad has already beaten him and he got knocked down 3 times, I'm sure Wlad has gotten much better and wiser since that fight.
