But now you're complaining that people are detracting from Floyd's victory because Gatti was "C class". If it was plainly the case then you really can't complain about people saying it.

One by one, Floyd is going to take care of all these guys. He's had DLH, Mosley and Hatton on his radar for years. He has tried to fight these 3 for years. First, DLH stepped up and got beat. Now Hatton and Mosley are suddenly stepping up. I wouldn't worry too much about him fighting Mosley cuz if Shane goes through Cotto, then he's going to be number 40. Then what will the haters say? DLH and Mosley were past their prime (but everyone thought they could beat him for some reason); Hatton was overrated (But people were so pissed off that Floyd wasn't gonna fight him). By then it will be: FLOYD IS DUCKING COTTO/WILLIAMS/BERTO/*insert random unknown here*

I'm not complaining at all. I am plainly illustrating that PBF had no UPSIDE in that fight.

If he lost, he lost to a fighter that wasn't on his level. A fighter who had never even been competitive with another top fighter.

If PBF lost to Baldomir, he lost to a slow, plodding journeyman of limited skills. That is why that fight was entitled "Pretty Risky". (also because a loss would have derailed the ODLH fight).

If Oscar beat Floyd, it would "prove" that Floyd was overrated by losing to an elite fighter. Remember how everyone was saying that Oscar was the best fighter that PBF would have faced? Posters were picking ODLH to KO Floyd. And , in fact, MANY people in the game (boxers & trainers) had picked Oscar to win.

So PBF is in a familiar spot. No upside. When you are #1 p4p, there is only one direction available to move. He seems to know this - even though he shows that it bothers him that people aren't putting him on their GOAT shortlist.

Although Parcells had PBF rated #5 all-time on last night's FNF. Surprising.

Absolutely. If Hatton loses (and you know I already said this is a pick'em fight) and he loses an extremely tight decision (which is the most likely outcome) I don't want to read any of that "Mayweather destroyed Hatton" ****. Similarly if Hatton beats Mayweather in a similar fashion (which is the second most likely scenario, I don't want to hear any "exposed" **** about Floyd coming from Hatton fans.

Both Hatton and Mayweather have a lot to lose in this fight. You're kidding yourself if you think otherwise. And you're kidding yourself if you think that this isn't going to be a competitive fight that both participants will be taking seriously.
