I have a good idea, why not just give both Mayweather and Hatton $10 million each and not bother having the fight? It's such a sure thing after all.

I'm sure you would enjoy not seeing your man take the inevitable beating.... but there's no getting around it now.

Hatton has talked his way into this beatdown. The UK will just have to take this one with that vaunted "stiff upper lip".

        Well....

Hatton is the Ring Mag champ at 140.
Hatton has talked much smack about Mayweather.
Hatton is a commecially viable fight.

For those (and several other) reasons, Ricky will bleed profusely this autumn.

So are you going to call him a "bum" if he loses? Of course you are.

Just as he did vs. Gatti.
Just as he did vs. Baldomir.
Just as he did vs. Judah.
Just as he did vs. Delahoya. (kinda)

              Same as it ever was...

If PBF had lost to ANY of those guys, his detractors would say, "see, i told you he was overrated". When he BEAT those guys, it was because they were a C-class fighter, or slow, or unfocused or "past his prime", etc.

              It is what it is.

Ricky Hatton is not a bum. NOR is he in Floyd's class.

There is a VAST gulf between bum and P4P.

In fairness it was Mayweather himself who said this about Gatti.

FMJ verbalized what we all already knew (or should have known).

Gatti got stopped by Manfredy. And had life-and-death struggles with Ivan Robinson and Micky Ward. He clearly wasn't in Floyd's class.

And PBF treated him accordingly inside the ring.

The question should be "IF Mayweather beats Hatton" not "when".
