exactly. im british and if an american boxer is good then ill come out and say that, id even support them against a british fighter if i liked them more. example- anyone against calzaghe! but hatton is the best in britain at the moment and he's a match for the american boxers, why dont people just accept it.

I been saying it since i joined the forum.
Hatton has about 5 months to think something different that is gonna throw floyd off his game plan, the reason floyd fancies himself in this fight against hatton is that Hatton has ONE way to win the fight, come forward at all costs.
Now this has happened to mayweather before in the fight with Castillo and Chavez. And mayweather will most likely do exactly what he did to those two, that he will do to hatton.
Sidestep counter,
Shell Pivot, counter
And then there is that right hand too,
So hatton is gonna have to think of a way to get inside without being tagged, forget the crap talk about hatton taking shots to get in there, when gets there mayweather will stand him up like a bad date, creep around and punish him.
I would suggest he mixes it up, by being aggressive in parts, and boxing in parts, we know he cant outbox mayweather for 12 rounds, but i think his best chance is to do exactly what mayweather isnt expecting in part, throwing mayweather off his game.
By this i mean, backing off a little, using a jab, then rushing mayweather, then backing off etc. If he keeps coming in time and time again he will get timed with counters and most likely hurt real bad.
So for me that has to be his plan be, getting inside mayweather un-detected, beause i think mayweather's game plan is to keep him at bay for the 1st few rounds and catch hatton coming in, then late on moving into the pocket and firing those power shots.
Also hatton has to protect his body, because im pretty sure mayweather will go to the body alot at beginning of the fight, he will go to make hatton a stationary target imo.
So there it is for me, Hatton has to feint his way in with a jab, and combinations, then take time out of the outside and risk it, before rushing into mayweather again, he will have to make floyd think, keep him guessing and not allow floyd to adapt.Comment

I can see Floyd opening up alot more against Hatton and i'm even leaning towards Floyd stopping Hatton.Does anyone think Mayweather will have a similar offensive performace like he did with Gatti? For some reason I think he may. I'm getring this feeling. Because Collazo was really tagging Hatton at will. And he really looked to be going down during the 11th or 12th can't remember.Comment

Do you mind explaining? If Mayweather goes on the offensive he loses. Mayweather knows this, and will spend most of the fight tagging and moving. Collazo let Hatton rush in and caught him a few times, but Hatton looked very poor in that fight against a much bigger opponent. Mayweather isn't bigger and certainly won't be able to outmuscle one of the strongest fighters P4P. Give credit to Floyd, he's too clever to give up his advantages in this fight.Comment
