Maybe the greatest Pound for Pound fighter of all time. I could see why someone would rank Ray Robinson ahead of him though, it could be construed as a no brainer, but I didn't grow up watching Ray fight.
I only go by what I've seen in old clips, and testimonies of people who are from that era of have done their homework.
I'd also like to point out something that I think holds water.
There are many people who are new to boxing, and judge Roy based on his knockout losses to Tarver and Johnson when he was weight drained/past his prime. They simply weren't around to see how dominant he was in his hey day.

I hated on Roy more than Floyd, than i bought His career dvd set than i got a new aspect of how UNTOUCHABLE in His real weight classes which were around 167 and Even BHOP and ToNEY couldnt touch him, He Still went up To heavyweight and blew himself up to get their and he still became Heavyweight champ, before finally losing a real fight , as he was already past 30 and past his best part of his prime.
That said Hopkins is tops based on times he defended his titles(20+), Years he defended it(12), Hall Of Fame Opposition,(TRin, Osc, Wright), Better than Average opposition beat(Tarver, Glen Johnson, S.Mecado, Echols,), Still champion at over 40+ years of Age, Hes the only man to K.O Trinidad And Oscar. He had no amateur background and still flourished in a sport where amateur background is a big factor in success, and i can go on forever
