Golden Boy To Promote Mayweather-Hatton?

Mayweather doesn't really care who promotes his fights as long as it's not Arum. He probably agreed to the option because a) he's a promotional free agent, and b) he thought Arum would hate the fact that GBP had an option on him.
Now, will the fight have to be in the USA since GBP probably doesn't have the right to promote in the UK?Comment

The fact is that Oscar is a ***** Ass Pimp. He knows that he makes way more the anyone else in boxing and that everyone wants to fight him because of it. That means that he can put any kind of rules on the fight and you have to accept it. To me thats a ***** move and I bet anything that its a huge reason why he started to fall off as a boxer. That karma **** will come back on you sooner or laterComment

People keep talking like Oscar is a great buisness man. What makes him one? Just because he makes more then any other fighter he can do stuff like this but its not like he's doing anything special or pulling something new out the hat. Anyone could do that if they were him. He's not putting some new **** in the game or seperating himself. He's basically just raping guys because he can and that **** will bring bad karma on you in some way and thats why he loses all his big fightsComment

If you make a lot of money, and promote PPVs that tend to sell well, when you're not on them, and you're a big reason that you have signed the fighters you fought. And you manage and match them well. Plus you have contracts that a loow you to make money in the long run.... That's called being a GREAT business man.
BY the way, Karma only works, from what I've read of karma.. on issues that relate. Meaning, the business side and the boxing side have nothing to do with eachother. Because even in fights he loses, he makes the most money.
Also, he beat Chavez (twice), Whitaker, Vargas, Mayorga.. and lost to Hopkins, Mosley (twcie, if you count the second fight), Trinidad (if you count that) and Mayweather.. Seems like he's at about .500 in big fights.Comment

All boxers are greedy. Quit living in some fantasy world that ALLLL other boxers are so charitable, and De La Hoya is the only money-hungry one. It's natural though, you're the attraction, you should get the most money. Pretty simple logic.Wright/Hopkins was a pretty decent fight and the undercard was GREAT. So overall, you got your moneys worth. If you pay 50 bucks to watch only ONE fight from your couch, you should be prepared to get ripped off. As far as The Hopkins/Wright PPV, that was well worth what I paid for it. I was entertained.Comment

yeah, he lost to all the good prime guys but beat the washed up ones. The karma thing usually doesnt realate because no one else is ever both but he is. Fighters choose him not because he's so great but because boxing sucks. They dont want to go to other crooks like King, Arum, or all these other clowns. Boxing is also so messed up that its hard for promoters to come together so if Oscar has like 2 big money guys then the others are going to want to sign with him just so they can fight those guysIf you make a lot of money, and promote PPVs that tend to sell well, when you're not on them, and you're a big reason that you have signed the fighters you fought.
