I believe Povetkin's pressure will eek out a decsion over byrd and i believe brock is way to much for chambers. brock is no guinn although brock will get hit plenty he has too much all round skill to be beat by the smaller quicker chambers. After being able to stand with klit I don't think chambers will win 7-5 brock. Povetkin will just be to young talented and hungry for byrd. I think byrd will have a lot of trouble being able to land detering shots on povetkin who will know to always keep his hands up against byrds pecking jab. 8-4 with byrd in trouble at some pint in the fight.

I changed from eek to 8-4 because I realized that povetkin may just be able to catch byrd with some heavely scored combos, while byrd may not be that inclined to engage and he may well find his jab being constantly blocked if sasha can remember to keep his hands up more often than not, we will see

Bump because btalk is reporting that Byrd-Povetkin is a done deal for Oct.27 in Germany with Sauerland promoting. No US TV, though...

For some reason, I wish the other fight was Chambers-Tua, but oh well.

Chambers tua would be a superb fight. i think chambers would beat him ifhe survived the first 3 or so rounds. Tua's stamina is poor and eddie chambers is a good boxer and is real quick hence the name fast eddie chambers.
If tua caught chambers though then it would be over in a second.

Both Bryd and Brock will win..Povetkin and Chamber don't have enough experience to both these seasoned guys....Brock will knock Chambers slap the hell out...Bryd will out work Povetkin...

Brock will beat Chambers and I have no idea about the other one but I hope Povetkin has the stuff to go all the way because I dont want to see Vlad vs Brock/Byrd.

Yeah, I saw it on boxrec today; for all it's worth. It's good to see that things are moving along with this 'tourni' and hope the Chambers-Brock bout can be made soon as well.

On a related topic, has anyone heard of the WBA sanctioning a similiar eliminator tournament?...
