Props to Mexico for all the great warriors. My all time faves include Morales and Chavez Sr.

But with all due respect, the statistics is expected. Mexico far outnumber boxers from other countries, so it shouldn't be up for debate.

I agree, mexico have many great warriors, but there are warriors in all countries. Puerto rico (Cotto), France (Monshipour and mormeck), Canada (gatti) , Us (Brewster..), UK (hatton), philipines ( paquiao)....

I love watching Mexican fighters and it is known that when a Mexican fights it is going to be exciting. That reputation is starting to get attatched with Pinoy fighters as well, When a it is a Pinoy vs. whomever I read articles or hear commentators predict it an exciting fight before it happens, and true to form, many have stolen the spotlight from the main event. Thats why it is electric when it is Pinoy vs. Mexican and the world cup will be a crazy event with a whole lot of brown people watching. Warriors come from every country though, Katsidis just emerged from Australia as the new blood and guts warrior and Cotto made a big fan out of me when he showed he was a dead game fighter. Mosely, M Taylor, A Pryor, Holyfield, etc. were warriors. I don't matter where your from, if you fight to the end and have big heart, im an admirer.

Puerto Rico with only 7 million people, has produced MORE champs per capita than any other country in the universe...

              Mexico has 100million people...

Personally, I like the style of the PR fighters. More finesse and less punches to the center of face.

I don't think of fighters in racial and/or ethnic terms. But here is what I saw:

I saw Castillo quit against Hatton. I saw Erik Morales stay down and wink to his corner vs Pacquiao. I saw Vargas get knocked out repeatedly. I saw Delahoya get beaten by a MUCH smaller man. I saw Delahoya run from Trinidad for a big chunk of the fight.

It's OK to have orgullo. But in no way do Mexicans dominate boxing in the way, for example, Dominicans dominate beisbol.
