No way this helps him at this stage of his career when he has the kind of resume that he already has
There is no way that another tune up fight is going to decrease Cintron's skills... When has that ever happened in the history of boxing?

The last time I saw Feliciano was I think against Alfonso Gomez. I saw him one time earlier against Demetrius Hopkins. He is in for a world of hurt. I dont see why this matchup is made to be honest. It's a huge stepback for Cintron who just had an exciting fight on boxing's largest network, HBO. Makes no sense from a managerial point of view, or a promoters point of view.

            which scenario sounds better:

            A) fight once a year against a big name

            B) fight 3-4 times a year, against one big name and 2-3 stay busy, get more exposure, fights/opponents...

i say B...its better for cintron to get the exposure, its better for boxing to showcase an KO artist...

Yeah....that's ******ed. It makes zero sense from a promotional standpoint. If the fight is on ESPN, whatever, but if the fight is on HBO it makes ZERO sense. The casual fan is going to look at Felicano (15-5-3) and be like...WTF? WTF is this crap.

I like Feliciano. I liked it when he chin-checked that wanna-be Delvin Rodriguez. I was sick of seeing that dude.

He could easily fight on HBO the week after the Floyd or Cotto fight when they show the replay. You guys are acting like he has no one to fight. If he doesnt have anyone to fight that means he's scared because he thinks there too much high risk/ low reward and there is no way he should feel like that when he's in the same division he started in, is bigger then nearly everyone, and has a huge punch. He could easily right now get a fight with Collazo, Clottey, Margarito, Williams, or even Gomez would be better after the Gatti win. I dont want to hear about them having a draw either. Gomez looked 10x better in that fight the Feliciano ever has and he just beat a popular guy on HBO. He should definatly be trying to fight one of those first 4 and if you guys dont think so then your just taking up for him
u have to realize that cintron has a legion of fans and whatever he does he'll look great to their eyes.. he could fight countless bums and he would still get credit.. to me he still hasnt really done anything impressive as far as facing good competition. the best opposition he faced beat him.. if it was someone else say floyd for instance he would get crucified..

Its just a tune up stay busy fight, no reason to start a topic like this over it. Props to Cintron for getting ready to fight already! Feliciano is tough, it could be a harder fight than it looks like on paper. His come from behind KO of Rodriguez was good, and he deserved his well fought MD over Phillips.

Id rather see important, big matchups, then fights against guys nowhere close to the top 10 ranking.
