i'm stoked if this fight is actually going to happen, it sounds so.

i like both fighters, both are good, good for boxing, and should make an exciting fight.


the question is does either one have what it takes to beat the other? does mosley still have that top quality to capture a win? and does cotto have that top quality to deal with the speed and experience of mosley?

there are a lot of variables in this fight that go either way.

like i said before in another post, mosley is a precise puncher with speed and a power packed punch at 147, and he can and does know how to finish his opponents when they're hurt. i haven't seen a fighter get hurt by mosley and not get served up.
mosley has been down, cotto has been down, but mosley has troubles with guys taller than him and guys with good defense. cotto has problems with guys with speed, good ring generalship, and some what power.

cotto isnt' bigger than mosley and he doesn't have the tightest defense either, which favor mosley a lot, but cotto does have power, heart, work rate, and amazing recuperating skills.

this is going to be a speed chess match, whoever checkmates first will win.

i'm a big fan of both, i like them both a lot and don't want to see either lose, but if i had to pick i got to pick mosley right now, because mosley has seen what cotto brings to the ring in his previous fights, cotto hasn't seen what mosley can do, maybe glimpses here and there in other fighters that he's faced but as far as package wise, cotto hasn't been in with a guy like mosley. not only does mosley have speed, power at 147, good defense, great ring generalship, and experience, he has a solid work ethic, he has great focus, and discipline, those are things that propel mosley as the toughest fight to date for cotto.

let it be known, this is a fight that either guy could easily win or lose, it's going to come down to who is the better fighter that night, and who wants it more.............

it's great fight for us fans........ i gotta pick mosley in this fight, either by decision or maybe even KO..........

Yes, from what I understand, Bob doesnt want Cotto fighting in Vegas. If Margo won, I think the fight would have been in Staples Center in LA. I dont think Cotto will ever fight in Vegas again unless its against DLH or PBF, cause those two would call the shots.

Agreed. There will come a time when the fight will have to be in Vegas, I don't think those 2oz will make much of a difference.

Great. Now Hatton-Mayweather should be made for the winner of Cotto-Mosley. And i think Mosley and Mayweather would win in these scenarios, and then they fight. I think that's what most people would want to see.

I believe Cotto will beat Shane, and people would rather see him against Floyd than Shane. Shane is a past-his prime fighter with a few Ls on his record. Cotto is in his prime, young, and undefeated. Floyd gets hated on regularly for not fighting young/prime/undefeated fighters. Also, his style is a great matchup for Floyd because they contrast. This would be a better and more anticipated fight IMO.

yeh im waiting for bxingtalk to confirm it since there more accurate but i think the fight is gonna b made anyway..i cant see miguel cotto losing, but then again i cant see mosley winning..im gonna have to say cotto by SD..but i think a prime mosley beats him..no no no i cant decide nvm haha i dont no who wins i cant pick

if this fight happens it is because cotto and mosley are real fighters who dont fear nobody. they have shown many times that they are not cowards and businessman. this will be a good fight!!
