those fighters i used in the example but based on results you can see why
tysons power is not as respected as maybe it should be.

Larry Holmes was a shadow of the fighter he once was.
im gobsmacked you used spinks as a case, he was waiting to be koed.

personally i think tyson does have crazy power and it was the lack of
a complete boxing package that let him down against the best fighters.
Then you didn't answer the question properly, neither did you use any examples like you say. If you want to make an argument that Tyson's power is overrated, that's not where to begin. He has ko'd greats. And those greats didn't have shadows of their former CHINS.

Plus, even if you were right it's still a ****** analogy that doesn't make sence. There have been plenty of extremely hard hitters who never ko'd greats. That has nothing to do wether a guy can **** or not.

As for this thread, people will comment on the subject, then finish off with how Tyson never fulfilled his potential. Predictable, overdone garbage these days.

Mikes Tyson's speed and power were overrated. Along with his defense. THREAD CLOSED.

I think because of his defeats to Danny Williams, and Kevin MkBride, people feel his power wasn't as great as they thought, I don't feel thats the case. He was far past his prime, and although still quick, wasn't able to propell his shots in the way he did when he was younger, the ferocity and dertermination simply wasn't there. Plus we all know about the William's bout, Mike was injured pretty badly in the opening round, and later required surgery.
          who is your old trainer?.

He didn't have the feet to be feet-flooted, I'll tell you the much. He couldn't get up on his toes and dance around the ring like Ali.

ESPN having 4 hour shows devoting to slandering him might have something to do with it. Having Teddy Atlas who once pointed a gun at Tyson as one of the 'analyst experts'.

He wasn't a one-punch KO artist. Most of his KO victories, even in the first round, were from cumulative damage. Doesn't mean he couldn't hit however. Very few heavies fall into the one-punch KO category.....
