People love to hate Tyson thats why. His power isn't over rated, the man was one of the hardest ****ers of all time. My old trainer once held the mits for Tyson in the early 80's, and said his speed and power was amazing. I think because of his defeats to Danny Williams, and Kevin MkBride, people feel his power wasn't as great as they thought, I don't feel thats the case. He was far past his prime, and although still quick, wasn't able to propell his shots in the way he did when he was younger, the ferocity and dertermination simply wasn't there. Plus we all know about the William's bout, Mike was injured pretty badly in the opening round, and later required surgery.

Theres been many of a man who've said after fighting M.Tyson that "i'd never been hit like that before".

Tyson was extraordinary, thats for sure.

I think there is probably an easy answer for that. People tend to remember the things that just happened, while the mind fades out things that happened a long time ago. People remember Tyson/Holy, Tyson/Mcbride, they have forgotten about Tyson late 80's, early 90's.

Weren't they both old when Tyson fought them. And I don't like Larry Holmes, he is a idiot and showed he's a racist in one of his interviews.
