According to a report in the Manchester Evening News, promoter Dennis Hobson is currently involved in very serious talks with the advisers of WBC welterweight champ Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and HBO regarding a potential Ricky Hatton-Mayweather bout. [details]

Some have suggested that De La Hoya has gotten himself involved in a possible Hatton fight to disrupt or disturb Mayweather's plans..
