I'll tell you this, now your starting to understand what many people don't know. You'll start to understand this a little better the more you see 'nobodys' from the P.I. step into that ring.

Alibata , not sure what your saying , to early in the morning for me to work out cryptic posts

This was in a local news today , some trivia regarding Rocky .

He may have emerged bloodied and triumphant from the most brutal and exciting fight of the year but that hasn’t helped world champ Michael Katsidis with his legal woes in Australia.
Only hours after retaining his WBO interim lightweight title in a weekend Las Vegas slugfest, Katsidis was in hospital fearing for the life of his beaten opponent _ who was lying in the next bed with bleeding on his brain.
And then yesterday, after Katsidis had been released from hospital, he was ordered by a Brisbane court to pay $10,500 to a man whose jaw he broke in a street fight nearly six years ago.
``Rocky’’ Katsidis was jailed for two years in November 2002 after being convicted of causing grievous bodily harm.
He pleaded not guilty in the District Court at Ipswich, claiming he had acted in self-defence when he punched Jamie Thomas Halpin, on November 3, 2001 in Toowoomba.
A jury found Katsidis guilty of the charge. He lost an appeal and subsequently served eight months in jail – six of them at the maximum security at Woodford -before being released on parole.
He also failed with an application for a pardon in 2005.
The conviction has dogged Katsidis, who was originally denied a visa to fight for the
rich prizes on offer in the US.
The Courier-Mail reported that In the District Court in Brisbane yesterday, Judge Phil Nase ordered Katsidis pay Halpin $10,500 in criminal compensation.
Katsidis yesterday did not comment on the order, but told journalist Bernie Pramberg of his fear that opponent Czar Amonsot would die after their world title fight _ which left him about $US100,000 richer.
``I thought for a while he was on his deathbed,'' Katsidis said yesterday. ``It was a bad feeling
and really emotional as the surgeons decided if they needed to operate on him.
``He will never box again, but hopefully will be okay. It must have been devastating for him.''
As Katsidis waited to have 27 stitches inserted in four facial cuts, Amonsot was taken to
intensive care after routine post-fight scans revealed the Filipino had bleeding on the brain.
But he did not require surgery and was resting in the Valley Hospital yesterday.
Amonsot had been knocked down twice in the gruelling bout with Katsidis, who defended his WBO interim world
lightweight crown with a unanimous points decision.
Another boxer, Mexican featherweight Oscar Larios, was also admitted to hospital with bleeding to the brain after being stopped in his interim world title tilt by Jorge Linares of Venezuela.
Like Amonsot, he did not require surgery but will not fight again.
Katsidis was released from the hospital at 2am and revealed he fought ``blind'' in one eye after the second round and had to change his tactics
``I was having trouble seeing and he targetted me with right hooks that I had difficulty picking up,'' Katsidis said.
``I had to put my thinking cap on and do exactly what Brendon (trainer Brendon Smith) told me.
''Smith said he was concerned about the possibility of a stoppage because of the bad cuts to Katsidis from the ``third or fourth round''.
``It's the first time Mick has been cut in his career, but there was no panic in the corner,'' said Smith. ``Our cuts man Jim Strickland did a great job and we communicated with the ringside doctor between rounds.`
`Mick showed what sort of a champion he is with that performance.
Katsidis and his trainer Brendon Smith met promoters in Las Vegas yesterday with the goal of a unification bout against Juan
        Diaz, perhaps in December.

Good point Elite ,, just a couple of things can effect that , it was at 128 , 7lbs lighter , he looked pretty big to me to loose 7lbs , and that can take more out of a fighter than anything , and yes it could very well turn a granite chin into butter .

Then you have a new trainer in Roach thats bound to mean something .

Then you have Rocky can punch , so open your eyes and look at the ones Czar took , you dont disregard them because they are real , so instead of looking to weaken those , look to see the valid reasons why someone gets KO and then showed great chin in next fight ,,,, weight , trainer and mindset !

With a career headed where? His loss to Butar 2 he was weight drained, undiciplined straight out the bar getting drunk the night before. Look at the fighters out of the P.I. that have been given shots, they raise their level to the size of their opportunity.

We had Penalosa vs. PDL - A fight were Penalosa was given 0% chance of lasting to the final bell. The result, many people thought he got the better of PDL and won. He and had PDL reeling back in the last rounds.

We had Z Gorres vs. Montiel - A fight that Gorres out boxed and damaged Montiel's face throughout 12. I was one of many, including experts who thought he was robbed. He was given a slim to none chance of winning.

We had Donaire vs. Darchinyan - 0% chance of winning. We all know what happened there.

We had Pac vs. Barrera I - I remember on these very same boards the chance people were giving Pacman of winning. He did not just win, he brutalized Barrera.

Most recent was Czar vs. Katsidis - People thought Czar was going to be easy based on what people like you presume. Now you are discrediting Katsidis for having beaten a nobody which is far from the case. Katsidis beat a world class fighter who was up to the challenge.

People tend underestimate what they havent really seen, but are starting to understand and realize that fighters from the P.I. aint no joke especially if they are facing an opponent with the key to paradise from poverty. Thats why you see the Pinoys here just grinning on the keyboard when a fighter like Czar is written off. I've read articles before the Katsidis fight proclaiming that it would steal the show, and they were right. People are starting to understand that two hearty warriors will make a hell of a fight. We all knew Katsidis was gonna bring it, and so was the unkown PINOY.

I am a big fan of the Baby Bull and always look forward to his fights. After what I've seen from Katsidis, I am on his wagon as well. When these two collide it is gonna be dynamite. I guarantee you Katsidis aint gonna fold like frietas. He will be outskilled for sure but he seems hella strong for 135 and will end up bullying the baby bull to the ropes like he did with Amonsot. 50/50 fight for me.

Juan Diaz will box his brains out. It will be a one sided dissapointment. I wouldnt think this would be a all out war. Diaz exchaning with Katsidis wouldnt be that great an idea since katsidis at anytime has a chance to ko him, therefore Diaz outboxes him. I think the way he fought Lakva Sim
