    1. As of now, I would pick Calzaghe over Hopkins, Hopkins never liked movement (JC has plenty of movement). Hopkins is 42 and he lost Taylor for one reason only, Taylor's activity in the ring.

prime for prime is a different story...

Are you sure you aren't an Alt aka SiN?

You can pick apart any record if you look close enough, DLH fought plenty of big names but he also lost to many of them.

Does Hopkins have a record littered with beating stars??? Trinidad was a blown up Welter, same with DLH, he lost to Jones, lost to Taylor but there is no doubt about his career is there?

So apparently Castillo and Tszyu were over the hill and Lacy was a bum, but you show me a fighter who has a resume without fighters either past their best or fighting well above their natural weight.

            Thank you!

Christ! I can't tell whether this thread is populated by teen boys or 8 year old girls. Jesus some of you need a slapping.

Calzaghe isn't great (and I'm not a fan) but he's a damn sight more lively than any other super-middle right now. Taylor would be the most interesting fight right now, then Winky (if last night's fight was just poor preperation or inability to carry the extra weight). Bernard/Calzaghe would be good but Calzaghe would rack up the points and harry Hopkins from corner to corner.
Bernard is a great fighter but he is NOT what he was. He has carried age incredibly but at this point Calzaghe's style and constant attack will at least mean that Bernard has a VERY hard task to win on points.

As pointed out by the gentleman above, prime-4-prime is a different story.

Heh heh heh. Even Reid himself said he lost that fight. Quite something considering Calzaghe broke his hand after 4 rounds against a world class opponent in Reid.

Calzaghe would ***** slap Hopkins all over Yankee Stadium. Lets just hope that when he agrees terms this time he doesn't ***** out like he did last time.

As for last night's fight, christ that was ugly. Winky has no business being at LHW (which he himself admits) but he still did enough to possibly get a decision. I just had Hopkins edging it on quality. The judging was **** though, but then what can you expect with a Golden Boy promotion. Anyone saying Hopkins won 9 rounds is plain corrupt.
