It was competitive after the 5th. If you only scored it from the 6th on then I Margarito could've won, however he started too late and needed to shutout PW after the 5th to win and he didn't.
Now I know why Margarito always wanted to fight Mayweather

The Williams vs.Margarito fight was competitive. But to say it was the reason that Mayweather never fought Margarito... your reaching. The money wasn't right. Plain and simple. Mayweather would clown Margarito. Call me a PBF nuthugger, I don't care. Mayweater is that good... And Marge, he just isn't.Comment

I wouldn't be surprised if Margarito denied being knocked out. I can see him in the ring with Larry Merchant watching the replay.
Larry: "Tell me Tony, what punch did he catch you with?"
Margarito: "That isn't me, you have tampered with the video."
Margarito: "My fans know the ref stopped the fight because he bet against me."
Margarito: "The fight was rigged."Comment

Gunstar's hate for Margarito is just as unheathy as posting a gay ass AV of himself on a board with 99% males.
No way was this fight one-sided, Williams missed more then he actually landed. To say that Margarito only won 3 rounds is like saying Gunstar isn't a hairy ugly beast. Margarito won round 4,5,7,8,10, & 11. That fight was a draw, people need to see it without being wowed by punches that had no effect or even landed.Comment

It really makes me giggle when people try to argue Margarito was even remotely competitive because he blocked Williams punches.
They completely ignore the fact that Paul Williams was in control of all aspects of the fight 95% of the time.
He was in control of the pace of the fight, the range of the fight, position of Margarito in the ring, how many punches Margarito could throw.
He dominated every aspect of ring generalship, and that is what boxing is all about.
The fight wasn't even remotely close.Comment

I am not trying to argue with you, it is obvious that nothing I can say will change your opinion as you are devoted to your fighter.
Not that there is anything that is wrong with that, but learning to properly score a fight is a useful skill for any fight fan.Comment

Hey Hendrix you diehard tony loving idiot, here's a fact, Williams won rounds 4 and 5, the fact you think otherwise shows me how much you know about judging fights. Williams won the 10th. AT BEST you could say Margarito won 4, NO WAY he won 5, and to say he won 6?? Remove Tony's **** out of your mouth and maybe you can judge the fight better next time you pathetic trollLast edited by donatopulla; 07-21-2007, 01:35 AM.Comment

Your boy lost. Name all the rounds you want. It's all a conspricacy to keep Margarito out of the picture, whatever. "The most feared WW" got beat. The hype machine got beat by a better that night. Suck it up.Comment
