I can see your point but I have a few things I'd like to peacefully disagree with.....

1.) Jones did not win every round against Hopkins, it was a very close fight and most experts seem to agree with Roy taking the fight 7 rounds to 5 or 8 rounds to 4. As for Toney, his physical condition could be argued but I wouldn't bother with it because I think even on his best day Toney can't hold a candle to Roy.

2.) A win over a Heavyweight Champion when moving up in weight is a damn solid accomplishment and I'm not trying to undermind Roy but it was John Ruiz. We're not talking Joe Louis here.

3.) Everybody knows Tarver beat Jones all 3 times they fought. Jones got a gift decision against Tarver the first time out and everybody knew it, that's why they had to make a rematch. Even the crowd booed and chanted "bull****" when the "decision" was announced.

And Pazienza, Griffin, Harding and Woods are all good fighters but not great. I think we can all agree upon that.

Yeah Floyd tucks his face behind his shoulders and starts rolling around, moving backward and avoiding any type of contact whatsoever. Jumps in with a feather fisted shot, jumps out.

Roy used to hunt people down and knock them out, like a real fighter. If he couldn't......he'd simply showcase an aresenal of power punches and lead punches like Floyd does at times, but the difference is he's entertaining and knocked out a level of opposition well above Floyd's.

BTW the poll speaks for itself. Roy > Floyd end of discussion.

This is a freaking silly question. Floyd turned pro eight years after Roy so no one has any idea how it comes out in the wash yet. As of now, Roy's best foes are better than Floyd's and that makes a large gap. Hell, for all the complaints about both over the years, they have a funny way of closing gaps in arguments.

No ,Roy is so much far better in terms of legacy to Floyd that if you see the PEOPLES vote , Roy has been given over 70 votes while Floyd is still on the 30s, Floyds legacy isnt anywhere near Roys

Mayweather is better... Jones got knocked out twice, has the same record as Winky Wright(with out fighting much better comp), and hasn't beaten anybody who he was underdog against.. Why should he be ahead of Floyd?
