Kevin Johnson - great jab, nothing else. No right hand, no left hook, no uppercut, no in-fighting skills, no defense, nothing. Will get exposed when he meets someone who can actually fight.

Johnson was under the tutelage of Larry Holmes, that's why his jab looks like that.

He has the other tools, but never uses them.

Wills isnt a bad fighter. it could be a very good fight. Wills can be very entertaining against the right guys, much like his bout with Arreola.

And i think it was a very smart business ploy, making his name "The Great American Hope," cause whenever someone mentions his name, boom, they think he's the next big thing. u know? i thought that was cool

Please...he throws his right like a sissy. He's thrown maybe one left hook his last 3-4 fights. I've seen him live several times and his biggest weapon outside of his jab is his mouth.

i think a 15 minute brainstorm with a couple creative could turn over a much better name

The biggest problem I have with most of the American hw prospects like Johnson, Chambers, M. Scott, Chapman, Arreola, is that they seem to be avoiding each other like the black plague. If you claim, your the best American hw hope then fight the other American hw hopes?...

What they should be doing is stepping up to better opposition, fighting some aging fringe contenders to gain some valuable experience. I would like to see the old guys (38 or older) like Williamson, Akinwande, Tua, McCall, Moorer, Donald, Toney, and Byrd fight these younger guys. Then the torch can be passed on to the next generation...

But the guys on that list are not going to be real contenders. There's reason to protect them. One or two might get selected to get theirs asses kicked on TV when the list of older American names dwindles, because the premium channels aren't big on Eastern Euro vs. Eastern Euro. If you're a promoter you're looking for that chance and don't want to risk it.
