However Toney did brawl way more then Mayweather and Toney's chin was P4P the best I've ever seen.

Mayweather reminds me of James Toney and Sugar Ray Leonard combined.
    nice statement!

Its actualy quite amazing toney's been able to carry his power through the weights. Even at HW he still has the power to keep his opponents honest

That's why for me Toney was a more dangerous fighter, he would go and get his opponent and could fight equally well on his front or back foot.
Mayweather has all the skills but I wish he would impose himself more on his opponents.

The funny thing is that Boxrec lists him at #18 as the best HW of all time.

I've seen every Toney fight possible, your friend is right about Toney's natural talent, if he did train as hard as guys like Mayweather and Hopkins, he woud've been 10 times better then he was, that's scary!

Mayweather can't do it at 154, he did it many times when he was fighting at 130.

I liked mayweather at 130 early in his career, he was like a mini james toney

boxrec is strange like that, they probebly take in a fighters accomplishments from lower weight classes and then consider the fighter whatever they end their career at. and sometimes not. I just dont get it sometimes.

Man...Toney could have actually been a force at Heavy if he came in shape...look at how good he was against Holyfield, and I remember Bernstein commenting that him at 220ish might be under conditioned Its just too bad, really.
Toney has always been of my favorite to watch, I think hes hilarious too. unbelieveable fighter on a p4p level
