Why all of the Taylor hate?
Because he never beat Hopkins (and possibly wright, I haven't seen it, but he probably lost that too).

That and he's ****y/ his last fight was boring as ****.

I like Pavlik, and hope he kicks Taylor's ass.

I think they'd both be excellent fights. Calzaghe-Pavlik could be another Calzaghe-Mitchell.

I don't think he gets past Taylor though, although I hope he does. Fighting a live straight up opponent might well be the best thing to happen to Taylor's career since Hopkins I.

I'm really getting to like pavlik he seems real humble and not careing about the money unlike taylor. Infact i hope he ko's taylor real bad and makes him retire as i cant stand his no heart and his lack of will to fight.
Come on pavlik beat that gay wimp taylor.

          not caring about the money??

people seem to forget when taylor got his chance at the title fight he didnt care about the money either...he was just happy to get his chance...when you become champion its ur damn right to care about the money then...u earned it

and lack of will to fight?? lol thats the funniest thing ive heard...have you watched all or most of taylors fights or are u judging him by him by his last fight?? when taylor has to fight he fights...when someone brings it to him...he swings

I want to win the title and stick around. I want to fight Felix Sturm for the WBA and Arthur Abraham for the IBF and then I want to go up to 168 where Joe Calzaghe will hopefully still be around. I want to take all the belts. That’s one thing you want to conquer in this sport. You want to fight the best, even though anything can happen. You can get hit with a phantom punch, you can get robbed, you can get out-boxed, and if that happens you can always say that you fought the best. That’s what I want to do. I’m looking to get those two middleweight fights in the next year and a half, no longer than that before I move up.[/FONT]
I really hope Pavlik wins,he can be a star, hes great for boxing

First and foremost cong**** to Taylor for constantly taking on the hardest fights out there, Hopkins, Wright, Spinks, and now Pavlik.

Second Pavlik is a classy guy, but he's not getting past Taylor, he wont get passed Taylors jab, and thats whats gonna win the fight.

Third lets see this fight happen!

I don't know how I feel about this fight. On one hand, I've been a fan of Jermain Taylor for a while now. I rooted for him against Wink last summer. His recent fights have been disappointing and have me questioning why I even like this guy at all. He wins his fights, but when was the last time he fought a truly impressive fight? I guess that's what happens when you fight top quality opponents though. He was gased up against Ouma, too eager to dominate. Against Spinks he was too cautious, not wanting to get embarrassed by Spinks' stick and move tactics. Bottom line though, Taylor shows up when he has to. I don't feel he is as good as his record or titles indicate, but he is an outstanding boxer. I just wish he would drop that ****y Floyd Mayweather-esque persona he seems to have adopted before his fights. Being a stereotypical angry black male isn't going to make me a bigger fan of him.

Pavlik is great for the sport and seems like a very intelligent guy with a star quality about him. Taylor used to be quiet and humble, but lately he's been acting like a jack-ass and I really feel 4 out of his last 5 fights could be L's on his record but he has the HBO hype machine behind him and because of this has one of the most questionable undefeated records in the sport. Anyway, Pavlik has a very quiet and menacing confidence about him and should be able to dispose of the chicken-hearted Taylor with fair ease.
