I'm done with this clown. Seeing him go down was a great feeling and a great thing for boxing. That he was exposed as an ignorant jackass is icing on the cake. Oscar De La Hoya had more of a claim to victory over Mayweather than Margarito did over Williams for crying out loud.
It’s no big deal, really. I like effective punching over sheer volume. That’s what separates professional boxing from amateur boxing, in my opinion, and that’s why I scored Penalosa over DeLeon, Hopkins (first fight) and Wright over Taylor, and both Mosley (second fight) and Strum over De La Hoya...................this is why he won

        Dougie F,
Boxing is becoming a little too much like college football. Margarito faught a hella of a fight, I like Pail Williams he's a cool country boy, but Margarito should not be out of the mix. Guys are scared to fight other name guys because they don't want to risk a loss. If you get beat by the best and you fought tough, it shouldn't be over for that fighter. My little old grandma was excited. I want to see these guys some more. Cintron vs. Williams, Margarito vs. Cotto, if Margarito wins and Williams wins then let them have a rematch but this time with higher stakes like unification. I hope boxing deosn't introduce its own version of the BCS. (P.S my girl thinks you're hot. Me too, you're kinda pretty, JK!) – Marlon

Thank you, Marlon. I guess I am kinda pretty; just don’t call me a Pretty Boy.

I agree with you 100%. Margarito should not fall off the face of the earth (as a top contender or a player in the welterweight division) the way he was dropped from HBO’s graphic of top welterweights at the end of Saturday’s broadcast. Margarito should be given respect for facing young, hungry welterweights who are unbeaten or once-beaten on consistent basis. He’s weeded out pretenders (Hercules Kyvelos and Sebastian Lujan), he’s brought out contenders (Joshua Clottey and Williams), and he caused hot prospects to refocus and grow from the beatdowns he dished out (Sergio Martinez and Kermit Cintron). He’s been good for the welterweight division and he can continue to be unless the networks, the media and the fans turn their backs on him. I sincerely hope that doesn’t happen.

How many fighters in the last 2 decades who have beaten absolutely no elite fighters were said to be good enough to beat the #1 P4P? That is what I call being overrated and overhyped...

It shouldnt be because of all the most feared man in boxing talk because that title was given to him by the media and the man just went with it why not? From the begining Us Margarito fans never said he was the best fighter out their we simply said he was good and tough as nails and the most important he was exciting. I know some of you guys are just racist and just dont like Mexicans but what about everybody else why dont you like the guy?
                    Only the Americans hate Margarito.

Maybe because they see in Margarito a man DIGNIFIED enough and has class enough. Marg has courage and he is no coward punk. He has demonstrated that when HE WENT AFTER FAKE FLOYD ALONE AND IN FRONT OF FAKE FLOYD'S BODYGUARDS.

That was the day Fake Floyd got exposed as a coward.

And the Americans are hating on Margarito for exposing Fake Floyd for what he is. A coward.

the same reason why people hate on floyd, because he is called the best pound for pound and sometimes dont act like he was. And margarito was called the most feared men on the planet, but for many people he don't seem to be that
