All of this race talk is nonsensical, we were all told about how great he was, how tough he was, and after his KO of ******* Gomez, how powerful he was. We got sick of hearing about it.

You kidding? Look at how fast people bring race into the picture and start labeling people "delusional Mexican fans" or start going out of their way to use racial slurs against Mexicans whenever there's a prospect Margarito fight.

whereas Margarito keeps looking lackluster, first with Clottey, and then fighting for about 4 or 5 rounds against williams and losing there too.

I think anyone who is fighting someone who throws 1182 ****ing punches is going to look look lackluster. Now it's the case of Tony being unimpressive? This couldn't possibly have something to do with Williams fighting almost the perfect fight against a tough opponent where your only chance is to completely outwork him and win on the cards?

Why was Margarito the most feared boxer in the welter-weight division if he already lost like 4-5 time before he took on Williams? Thats not scary, that just shows signs that he's very much beatable.

People didint just all of the sudden decide that Margarito being mexican is why eveyrone hates him.

Im being serious when I say the hype job is what got to people. Against Clottey it was OBVIOUS that Clottey would have given him a beating has his hand held up, Margarito had no defense for what he was doing and his wide punching no jabbing self wouldnt have been able to do a thing about it, that is until CLottey flat out stopped punching for obvious reasons.

Against Williams, an UP AND COMER, sure he fought well for a few rounds, but come on, somebody who is supposed to be so hungry, so feared, so great should have been better than he was. In the 12th, he didint rise to occasion, Williams did, thats why Margarito DOESNT deserve the accolades he was getting from alot of people hell bent on telling us hes a serious threat at Weltweight.

When you talk about me never getting tired of talking about how great he is, the only thing i do is bring logic to alot of illogical points people consistently make about him. When fighters are accomplished, i cant help but give them respect. But i dare you to find a thread where i tell you hes the greatest ever, or top 10 or 5 etc, i dont say any of that. When i made that statement about people getting tired of hearing it, i was speaking in a general sense.

The racial hatred is clear as day. The minute Margarito himself says "I was robbed" nothing but the blanketed statements towards Mexicans arise. "Oh Mexicans are whiners", "He's a slow Mexican he can't block ****". Most if not all of the haters just so happen to flat out hate Mexicans. That's a fact.

You don't have to look much further than the front page of this forum to find one of fifty threads that contain hatred towards Mexicans namely stemming from their dislike of Margarito.

Nobody ever pointed to Tony being a polished fighter, and he's maybe one of the more flawed "good" fighters in boxing. The facets people pointed to were the facts that he's a big welterweight, and can take a punch. You can't deny physics.....a guy like that will give most people problems because of the fact they're pretty much out gunned in most cases. Clottey showed yes, that he had a rhythm and was able to outbox him in the early rounds, but he hurt his hand and that's that. Tony won the fight, and Clottey shouldn't be considered a slouch by any means. He's a guy that works as hard as anyone and runs 10 miles a day (I consider that absurd hard work)

This furthers my point. Williams is huge, man.....he's a 6'2 Welterweight who throws over 1000 punches a fight. He's the absolute worst example to use as a measuring stick for how good Margarito is.....because he'd be a tough matchup for anyone based on his qualities. The only person I can see beating Williams handedly outside of Floyd would be Oscar because of his comfort in big fights and the fact he can turn it on down the stretch. Williams showed that he faded late in the fight and virtually let Tony back in.......if he wasn't so active in the early rounds I think we'd be singing a different tune right now.

Sure and that's fine. But I was only responding to how you pointed out that people were "Tired of hearing about Floyd". Hell ****ing yes, every five seconds random nuthuggers enter threads and off topic state how great Floyd is and how he'd beat anyone. When someone objects, you know that you're one of the first people to defend Floyd against retaliation....same as a Deliveryman or Diegofuego. It's almost like nonstop repetition and my only quarrel with that is.....if you think it should be stopped then please don't keep reinforcing that type of behavior. Because if there was a remote chance that you'd disagree with anything Floyd has said, done, or anything someone has typed in his defense I haven't seen it.

I don't hate on the guy, I could care less of him because i never thought highly of him since the beginning. He's strong ,tough and durable but so is a Ford truck. He beat some quality fighters but nothing to brag about , the Cintron fight is his glory moment but that's about it. As a fellow Mexican , if Margarito would haver won i would be happy for him and if he lost i would care less. I have no attachment to him or his fight game , just the bottom line.The part of Margarito that is bothering me is the whining about being robbed and the promoter payin off the judges, that **** is lame.He reminds me of Jc Chavez when he lost against Randall and blamed referee Steele for his loss and threatend to sue him in court. ****, how about when Chavez quit against De La Hoya in the 2nd fight and refused to acknowledge De Lahoya or the fact that HE was the one who made the decision to quit. Hey , why is Margarito accepted as a real Mexican when he was born in California but De La Hoya is hated on when he also was born in California? There might be some on here who hate on Mexicans or mexican fighters but we as people have our own issues.
