But Khan has already been SO overhyped.. Him losing is going to make a LOT of people look very bad..
Is there a rule that if you get up and go back down that it is automatically over? I was under the impression that it was left to the ref's discretion and most of the time (ie. Zab Judah) the guy is so out of it that it is the right call. I watched the replay and while Khan was clearly rocked and KD, he intentionally went back to a knee to compose himself during the count, he didn't fall back down. Then when he got up he actually seemeed pretty clear headed and even landed some decent punches towards the end of the round. If he was as hurt as Limond claimed he was why didn't he just jump all over him and finish the fight. I have nothing invested in either of these guys but from what I saw it looked pretty legit.

I'm not sure. If he was going down indicating that it was a push, or picking something up off the floor, or for some other reason...I literally have no idea why he went back down to the knee, but he was talking to the ref and the ref seemed to understand why he went down, so I can only assume that it was a judgement call.

It must be pointed out that Limond didnt complain about this, only about the slow count. So you can only assume that he didnt have a problem with it.

Sorry to keep picking on your posts,

It looked like he was very badly hurt, got up too soon, knew he was unsteady and therefore took a knee, thats what it felt like when i watched it live, i shall give it a watch above now.

Thats what I felt when I watched it live. It looks a bit less likely watching it again, but then I dont see what he could've been doing as an alternative.

Khan thought he was pushed down and rushed up quick, thought he was in a state where he coulda been knocked the **** out. Limond's ****** ass had him but didnt finish the job. Too bad.

I have to agree with this.. To me it seemed like He realised he still had a few seconds before the ref reached 10 and decided to take advantage....

For whoever asked.. YES IT is a Markers Of Queensbury Rule.. if a fighter goes down a second time on the same KD... the fight is halted and a KO is Declared

It was me that asked. So the rule is no matter for what reason if you get up and then return to the canvas its over. Interesting I guess I have never really seen a guy that returned but was able to actually get up and continue.

It makes you wonder why the ref let Trevor Berbick get up and fall down 25 times before eventually counting him out and declaring Tyson the winner.
