Hide behind the lineality all you want, it doesn't fool anybody. And why does Floyd need tune-ups for a 140lber that he's already embarassed in sparring? At least Hatton showed some balls in moving up at short notice and straight in with a genuine WW. A southpaw champ at that.
Yeah and he showed a lot of balls by getting rocked countless number of times and running his ass back down to 140. Who was Floyd supposed to fight in November? Mosley's tooth was hurting, and Cotto and Margarito had already signed fights for December.

Tell me how Floyd looked poor against De La Hoya? He beat the man barely throwing any combinations.

Floyd turned down Marg for an Oct/Nov fight and then signed for Baldomir.

If you think Floyd was impressive against DLH then I really can't help you. I'd quite like to know how barely throwing any combinations = impressive in your eyes though.

Oscar won 4 rounds in the fight. I don't consider that barely being beat. Floyd wasn't looking to put Oscar in danger. He doesn't have the power to. The best punch Oscar landed came late in the fight when Floyd was backing up. He still never wobbled Floyd or really hurt him.

I didn't say it was impressive. He didn't beat Oscar with his A game. Floyd could have went 15 rounds at that pace. He fought defensive the whole fight.

Margarito wasn't the real welterweight champion. He beat mainly cab drivers and insurance salesmen. When your pound for pound the best you get to choose who you want to fight. Both men offered him the same money and he chose Baldomir.

He barely threw punches cuz he didn't need to. When Oscar came in he blocked the majority of them and Oscar was not always landing effectively with those flurries. Oscar did well early but whenever they were in the middle of the ring Floyd dominated him. Oscar never hurt Floyd in the fight. Floyd was smiling when he threw those bull**** flurries.

Baldomir was by far the easier fight so you can't blame him, I guess. That attitude doesn't do much for his legacy though.

Beating Margarito wouldn't have done much for his legacy either. Wow he beat some slow average fighter who hasn't beaten anyone impressive.
