Hell yeah, Im glad he lost. He is finished now, he doesn't even have that meaningless belt and he is now regulated back to journeyman. RIP Margarito!!

It didn't bother me who won but I was impressed by both fighters.

I just wish he would have won so we wouldn't have had the usual five thousand hate threads per day like we already do, about him.

I've never been a huge fan of his and if anything I always just defended Margarito against the nonstop senseless hating I've read. Not to mention I still say Williams is overrated as hell and would have liked to see someone stop that bandwagon in it's tracks.

Now people are talking about how he's eclipsing Thomas Hearns as one of the great all time welterweights because he's well over six feet tall and happens to fight at god damn welterweight.

Paul and Tony put on one hell of a fight. I scored the fight a draw but I can't argue in giving Williams the decision.

I have never loved or hated the guy. I have always respected him as a tough guy that won't be stopped and comes forward making for exciting fights. He was never the best technically defensively or offensively but that is why his rise to the top was impressive. Frankly, I thought he would win last night but he didn't. I give more respect to Williams for fighting a smart and gritty fight than I take away from Margarito for losing. He had a Cotto contract in place and decided to honor a difficult mandatory...how many guys in boxing will do that especially if they aren't financially set for life like some of the big names. For all the punches Margarito took he never stopped coming on, didn't look the worse for wear after the fight, but he simply was outclassed. I'm not glad to see him lose in fact I'm kind of sad because he never got the one big payday I think he deserved for years of fighting nobodies. Just remember Kermit Cintron a man he dismantled is wearing a belt right now so how irrelevant can Margarito be after the loss. If Mosley doesn't fight Cintron then he easily could be fighting Margarito again for a title.

I admit. It was quite funny when HBO showed the top Welterweights after the Williams-Margarito fight and he wasnt on there anymore.

Whoever said Paul Williams is Tommy Hearns' clone is on crack. I knew Williams would win from the punch output and that Margarito is slow as hell. Margarito did not impress me with his most feared power and all.

LMFAO yes yes whoever stated that is a total D-bag.

If anything is worse than the nonstop Margarito hating it's that kind of bull****. Williams hasn't done a single thing to even be mentioned in the same joking discussion about Thomas The Hitman Hearns.
