even though they say he lost the fight margarito is the one who landed the damaging punches and rocked williams many times. also williams lied and ran like a coward from the mexican bad ass and when margarito got close he hugged him to death because he feared margaritos power.

so if your a fan of margarito be proud because he fought like a warrior and was robbed blind by terrible judging. the worst he should have got was a draw but i think he did enough to win the fight.
I wont discredit margarito, he gave a good fight. But he lost.. Bitter fans can make every excuse in the book. But the better man won last night in good fashion. Give credit where it is deserved.

I agree but i'd put Cotto ahead of Williams for now (Williams defense is still crap)

He landed some punches, but it was obvious that Williams won the first 6. Margarito chose to let Williams outwork him and easily take the first 6 and fight hard for only the last 6. And yes, if he was a warrior he would've dug deep and outworked Williams in the 12th. He proved he is no warrior.
he put in the body work for the first 6 rds. how did he not do ****. i remember williams bending over in pain from the body shots. i scored the 4th for tony so it wasnt obvious he won all 6. bottom line, he did what most top welterweights wouldn't be able to do and that is hurt williams numerous times. give respect where its due and stop hating.

Williams poses the same problem for Cotto he does for Margarito. That's why potentially, he's 3rd on my ranking. His work rate is his defense at the moment and it's enough to keep the come forward types at bay. He'd be even more prepared to work on Cotto after dealing with Marg, keep that in mind.

You are about the only person to score the 4th for Margarito. It was ridiculously obvious that Williams won the first 6 and the 12th. All I'm saying is that if he was a "true warrior" he wouldn't have got outworked for 7-8 of the 12 rounds. Yes, he landed some hard punches. But he should've thrown a lot more and taken the fight from Williams. He didn't, he lost, he has heart, but not enough to call him a warrior. THAT IS JUST MY OPINION..

keep hating. margarito is still one of the best welters in the world and now they will duck him even more because he has no title.

I do give you props for sticking by your fighter after he took the "L" though. Just be man enough to admit he lost fair and square.
