      Well, why not?

Everyone hates on the robotic non hugging eastern Euros. So now everyone starts hugging like the yanks do, and who started the style anyway....,

what williams did can be compared in no way to what hatton and ruiz do. he was really productive the entire fight. there was only one point in the fight where i thought he hugged to much, unlike the 4 hatton fights ive seen where he hugs after every punch.

I thought the referee was a disgrace. No way was Williams holding more than Margarita but his continuous warnings had the effect of affecting Williams whilst letting Margarita hug away with impunity.

Yes he did throw 1200 or whatever punches ( I didnt keep count) but why is that? If Margarito wouldnt be to busy being tied up maybe he would have threw more punches.

I think the reason why his punch output was a lot lower than usual was because of the length of Williams. Williams reach was keeping Margarito at bay and Marg just could not find that range until the later rounds and by that time it was too late.

it's like we watched two different fights...can you honestly tell me after the ref warned PWill in the corner that Margarito wasn't doing the majority of the hugging from then on? go back and look at how many times Margarito clinched PWills arm under his, yet Williams gets the warnings and stern talking to by the ref, wtf was that?...Arum trying to take a page out of the Lou Dibella "how to buy a fight" book?

This thread is pointless, margarito was holding almost as much, and locked up williams are almost every time, I can only remeber one round were he was holding a little to much.

anything to win a fight and if the ref didnt deductid or warned then why not?

for you it seemed boring but for the fighter he is getting rest time as well as he is winning in some ways

but yes essive hugging is annoying

after paul was warned, margarito did most of the holding and was locking williams arm every time, and was never warned about that, even when margarito was holding and locking his arm the ref was warning paul.
