Take notes PACMAN. Here's how to beat JMM

Just woke up, I usually jog on Sundays, but felt lazy. Instead, I pop in the PACMAN -jmm fight. As excruciating as it was to watch it, my boy PACMAN getting countered like hell. I slow-motioned some of the exchanges and tried to pick up some flaws that JMM may have, and lemme tell ya....

In that fight against PAC, JMM did not show any flaws after the 1st round, the 2nd round he was starting to get his bearings under him.

Anyway, JMM is such a master at what he does ->Counter-punching, there were some minute stuff I picked up on, that maybe PAC can capitalize on if ever they get it on one more time.

JMM looked to me, that he would unleash his power during his counter-punches, and would throw "check punches" when he would go on the offensive, one thing that I also noticed w/ JMM against PAC and MAB, that he never got credit for was his infighting, he was very quick on the inside against both guys throwing uppercuts to the body w/ good pop and he mostly won those exchanges against both guys.

So here it is: HOW TO BEAT JMM 101(PACMAN PLEASE PAY ATTN)

-> Since JMM is alot more comfortable counter-punching, I would let JMM lead more than he's accustomed to, give him his own medicine by countering him. Barrera - Hamed is a great example. PAC's counter-punching abilities have gotten better since the JMM bout. He pretty much made EM and Solis pay, off of counters, especially w/ his new weapon of choice... The right hook.

-> One thing PAC kept doing against JMM was he would lead w/ his left straight instead of setting it up w/ jabs, I would be alot busier w/ the jab, and utilize the jab in different ways instead of just flickin' it out there

-> PAC's tenacity is what makes him great, but its also his own enemy. He throws everything and I mean everything w/ mean intentions, so when he misses he's off-balance. PAC needs to think more like a baseball pitcher, can't be a fastball all the time, he needs to throw a knuckleball or a change up more often. Doesn't have to be hard pitches all the time. JMM banks on PAC's fastballs

-> I also noticed that JMM only did two things in defending against PAC's venomous straight left. He would duck under it, same like Solis, or he would take a step back and whether he's duckin' or takin' a step back he would throw his own straight punch or uppercuts to the body. If I were PAC I would feint alot to get JMM out of position or when he's duckin' I would throw left uppercuts or hooks to his body all night. With boxers you gotta get them out of their comfort zone, you kinda have to rough 'em up a bit, B-HOP is great at this.

-> Another thing I noticed JMM do alot and PAC had no idea how to get past it, was JMM's "stiff-arm jab" similar to how ALI used to do it. Everytime PAC would rush JMM, JMM would stick his jab out there and leave it extended, all PAC did whenever JMM would do this was bob and weave w/o any success of penetrating.

What I would do if JMM used that "stiff-arm jab" on me and leaves it extended. instead of bobing and weaving trying to get around it, I would slip it and shoot a right - uppercut under his elbow(southpaw stance) . This will only do two things, it will either shatter JMM's elbow or he would be hesitant to doing that "stiff arm b.s."

    So lets review this class

Set everything up w/ the jab, throw more to the body, use feints, a little bit of dirtiness can be effective against boxers, let the counter-puncher lead more often.

PAC if you follow my pointers you're on your way to mastering the counter-mastering machine they call Juan Manuel Marquez. The word "mastering" sounds too nice. With my advice, I guarantee that JMM would not be leaving that ring w/ his teeth and ribs intact.

Haha yeah I was going to point that out.

What a complete joke that fight was, John was badly outclassed. I can't believe that score still exists to this day.

there were rounds where John only threw 15 punches.

Thanks for the sarcasm. Anyway, I'm sure Roach points alot of the stuff I wrote about.

I was at the Wild Card Gym several months ago, lucky me, PAC was actually there that day, he was preparing for his trilogy w/ EM, took pics w/ Freddie and took video of PAC shadow boxing/moving around the ring, Fres Oquendo was there too preparing for his fight w/ Holyfield. The funny thing was, I was w/ my girlfriend and dragged her to go w/ me and all the fellas were hawkin'.

As I was taking video of PAC, some guy was talkin' smack(in a friendly guy talk way) to me(you can hear him talk on my video)it happened to be Roach's younger brother, looks like Freddie only 12-15yrs younger looking.

On one of the walls in Wild Card, there's a sign where it outlines "gym etiquette" and one of 'em said, "To Not try to be a coach while a real coach was training his fighter" or something to that effect. Anyway ,I laughed to myself as I read it, because inside it was killin' me to not be able to throw out some of my suggestions to Roach. Especially my counter to JMM's "stiff arm jab". I mean, if y'all look at the JMM - PAC fight, whenever JMM would do it to PAC, all PAC would was bob and weave and accomplish nothing. just talkin' about this little trick of mine, makes me salivate at the thought of PAC actually doin' it and end up breaking JMM's arm in the process.

Again, when JMM sticks his jab out and leaves it out at full extension, kinda like using it as a pole to keep off the on coming attack, I would shoot the uppercut and target the elbow, instead of wasting energy bobin' and weavin', trying to reach JMM's face w/ punches that hit nothin' but air. Forget hittin' the face, break the elbow instead.

Your @ss must be on crack. If anything John won that fight. And please don't use that same old tired excuse of "Hometown win". You mean to tell me that all 3 judges were Indonesian(lol) Not the case at all, the fact is the judges were from different countries, maybe one and only one was from John's country.

You're ****ing blind if you think John won that fight.

That was one of the biggest robberies of the past twenty years. Have you even seen it? I don't think you have and you're talking out of your ass.

All John did was ****ing run, and he wasn't the least bit active. JMM followed him around landing and throwing more at a higher percentage every single round and backing him down.
