ROFL, I am really surprised this is even debated. It was a clear win for Paul. To be honest I hold the future oppinions of those who voted for Margarito in very low regard.

And Williams landed more effective clean punches. A fighter does not have to double over in pain for a shot to be effective and clean.

If Paul was so weak and pitty-patted all night, why didnt Margarito just run up and clock him and press he action? Why didnt the champ take the first 6-8 rounds off? Why was the champ smiling after being hit, a clear sign we all know means he got hit with something hard?

Williams landed more punches, Margarito landed more clean punches and Margarito's punches were clearly more effective. Most of the punches Williams landed were in short flurries and quickly followed by three or four hard counter shots from Margarito.

Punch stats do not support your theory that Margarito followed up with 3 and 4 shot flurries. We all know he was kept in check for 6-8 rounds, why are you speaking as if Margarito was in there swinging away when no punch stat supports this?

And if Williams shots were on effecting Margarito, why did he not press more and walk through the punches?

i would be shocked to learn that margarito threw 3 or 4 hard counter shots after a williams offensive. i guess i should go see the fight again. i saw tony do N A D A.

Guess he can put that plaque up in his room where his Championship belt used to be.

                    • I respect the people coming in here debating how Williams won but for the ones talking **** and calling fighters names are simply Little youngsters or just plain lame! i dont know what fight some of you seen, but in my eyes this was a close fight and if it wasnt for that last round this could of been a draw, Margarito did not get dominated at all he just started late and like I said so many times Bodyshots are underated! Props to Williams for the punch outtput.
