Margarito lost and thats it. He should accept it and be man about it. That bitchin and disbelief that he lost is for losers and is not manly at all.Although , i like Jc Chavez i hate the way how he refused to acknowledege when he lost or give credit to another fighter. He was the biggest sore loser i have seen in the past 20 yrs. No need to make generalizations of people with insults as i have seen on this thread. I hate sore losers regardless of who they are or where they are from. I am Mexican but i don't blindly follow or root for mexican fighters just because they are Mexican. If a mexican fighter loses then he loses, I will never say a fighter won when i know he lost. Morales,JMM,Chavez jr, Arce are mexican fighters that I don't like but R.marquez,Barrera,Mijares are fighters that i do like , I don't root for a fighter just because he's mexican.
I just saw some clips of him still insisting that he won. He now blames Goosen for the loss by implying that Goosen paid off the judges. I also saw a spanish language sports show they have a pic of the fight along with the words Lo asaltaron which means they robbed him. Then they show reaction by fans and all of them said Margarito was robbed and that williams ran away from Margarito. I was laughing at all the comments because it is so obvious that they were sore losers just like Margarito.
Yeah, Goossen paid off the judges. That's why the fight was in Margarito's backyard, and the two unknown California judges had less then 10 title fights combined, never called a notable fight, and both morons had the fight a draw going into round 12. Williams won 9 rounds easy, Margarito blocked two of the punches and then ate 2 to the face, Williams had a higher connect percentage with power shots and easily outpunched and outboxed this sore loser.
its my first time last Saturday to watch him fight, I thought he's going to win, with all the hype surrounding him. But after Williams excellent performance in the early rounds I knew he's gonna win.
i had williams winning but barely, had margarito won the last round it would've been a draw on my score card.
7 rounds to 5 for williams................
margarito just let williams get a good lead and wasn't busy enough, all tony needed was more output and he could've kept his title. the bodyshots from margarito were doing some serious damage, which made williams look for the clinch as much as he did.
it was a good fight, i think a rematch will be real good once each guy makes some adjustments.........
It amazes me that people forget a round is 3 full mins, not 10 second spurts. For the majority of rounds, Williams threw more, landed more, drove the action etc. If you took all of the work Margarito did for the whole fight and strung it back to back, you might have 2 rounds of action.
2 of the judges were from Cali, they tried to make it close but even they couldnt cheat that much.

Yeah they did so much DAMAGE that Williams averaged 90+ punches per round. Comn' guys, Margarito barely landed anything for the first 6 rounds. And no way he dominated the second hald of the fight. The rounds that folks are trying to give him are based on a few shots here and there. I dont care how powerful you think they were, they were just that a few shots. I am still waiting on someone to produce round by round punch stats.
I think Margarito was pissed on himself and his corner, because he knows he could and should have done better.
To blame the judges is childish. He should point at his own nose...
