Margarito fans are crying about margarito landing cleaner bigger punches. Too bad, The Punisher took it on the chin and spit them out with no heat. Margarito didnt even do as good as hopkins did against Taylor when he lost his title down the stretch.

Tijuana Tornado is a bonehead, but he makes me laugh. I hope he never goes away. He is a dumb ass, but he is cool in my book.

If you believe that the fight should have been decided by the 12th round then you are ******.

In looking at the fight in the light MOST favorable to Margarito I can only count 7 rounds that he COULD have won (3,5,6,7,8,10,11). I had the fight for Williams 115-113 and the best Margarito could have hoped for was a split decision. I picked Margarito to win but I didn't see enough to warrant any kind of decision. When you objectively lose 5 of the first 6 its hard to win a fight without knocking an opponent down or out.

close fight could of went either way but margarito did not get dominated and i think williams is getting to much credit for alot punches that did not land he threw alot of punches some landed but not as much as the announcers made it seem.

Yeah I think Williams is being touted as an HBO fighter and often HBO fighters have the announcers on their side. There is some contention over the result and I'm happy to accept that Williams won, but I fail to see the massive one-sided beatdown that apprently took place. If I hadn't seen the fight you'd expect that Margarito was annihiliated reading some of the responses on here, but the reality is that Margarito wasn't hurt even once. And it's been said before that the 12th was the deciding round. Hey if Marg had won the twelth he would have scored 114-114 on two judge's cards, and that's a majority draw right there.

Williams won 8 rounds to 4, it was only closer on the judges scorecard cos of home court advantage

The fight was in Tijuana? Williams won 8 rounds to 4 on a single card, the other two cards were much closer, in fact one round close.

Should of been 8-4 across the board.

But that's just your opinion. The opinion of two of the judges was that it was much closer and by all accounts the opinion of press row was split between the two fighters.
