Gatti was obviously finished.. But I give Gomez props.. He showed HUGE improvement and has some definite skillz now.. If Gatti wanted any chance he needed to fight him, not box.. But either way he is shot and 147 is definetly not the place for him.. Impressive showing by Gomez regardless.

Gatti gave us tons of memories and I personally thank him for that, one of the most exciting fighters to grace the sport and one of the nicest guys too. It was a fun ride Gatti all props to you.

Gomez surprised the **** out of me. I was a fan of his after the contender but I thought he would have no chance against Gatti but Gatti had no chance against him. I think some welters need to watch out for this kid.

Gatti is completely shot. I hope he stays retired and that the damage doesn't turn out to be too severe. He really did not need another beating like this.

I was very impressed by Gomez tonight; his timing was perfect, his punches were very sharp and crisp(unlike Williams), and his counter punching was also very good. Another thing I admire about Gomez is that he's very well spoken, humble, and 'down to earth.'

Although Gatti was shot to **** and a very easy target; this was an impressive win and a good 'stepping stone' fight for Gomez. A JCCJ fight would be very interesting and entertaining IMO...

Had this been Pre Ward Gatti...the situation would have been reverse.
Sad day for Arturo. Props to Gomez.

Lets not take anything away form gomez. HE did an amazing job of timing Gattis rushes and e ven stayed in there with gatti while he brawld with him. Gomez realy amazed me lastr night.
