Foreman.......
He's a better ANNOUNCER, than Lampley or Merchant, IMO.
And when **** gets outta hand, he doubles as an extra security guard.Comment

Although I haven't seen so many fights called by Cossell, he's still my favorite because of the 'matter of fact' announcing, the voice, and his rivalry with Ali...Comment

I was actually surprised by how many of the fights in my video collection are called by Cosell. One of the things I really like about his broadcasts was the lack of voices fighting for air time. He called the blow by blow AND provided his own color commentary. It was just Cosell and a mic. He also had the unmatched ability to make an ordinary match-up seem like an event.

I totally agree. Definitely my favorite announcers. Best in the business by miles imo.Comment

Christ, Steve Bunce is terrible. He doesn't half talk some **** sometimes - you know, whilst on the Hatton/Castillo fight, someone on this site quoted him as saying "Hatton has watched over 200 hours of Castillo fighting".
Only problem is, Castillo would have to have about 1000 fights, which all went the distance, and were all videoed for that to be true.
He just made it up on the ****ing spot! What a wally.
I like Teddy Atlas... British wise - its gotta be "D'ya know what i mean" Harry Carpenter! It was so funny when he lost his cool at Bruno vs. Tyson and shouted "get in there Frank!" when Harry's mate Bruno gave Tyson a slap.
