DLH fights in spots due to a lackof stamina and Cotto will not allow him this luxury, probably wear him down and make him take big chances he isnt used to taking. I see your points tho
there is no need for the perfect Mayorga punch. Mayorga has (had?) a serious chin, Cotto was hurt and put down by Torres (OK...), wobbled by Judah (OK...), hurt badly by Corley (CORLEY?!?!?).

Oscar is still better than all of the above, with the possible exception of Judah he is on another planet. Oscar KOd 154ers, Cotto was hurt by 140ers.

However I also see the possibilty that Cotto fights careful in the beginning and chops down Oscar's body. If the fight goes past round 7-8 then it's all Cotto's.

All y'all are talkin' about DLH's big left hook. How about Cotto's left hook? In recent fights who has had more success w/ their money punch, Cotto or DLH?

You guys are beyond dumb if any of y'all buy another DLH PPV. DLH is only gonna do two things----> He's either gonna run around the ring to a lackluster victory or defeat and blame it on whoever his coach is gonna be for this possible match-up, or when he senses or feels that its going to be an uphill battle, he's gonna find another way to quit!!

Look if Cotto was hurt by Corley and Torres and wobbled by Judah just imagine what Oscar could do to him.

                None... thats how many

he has been Knocked Down ONCE in 30 Fights..

he has been staggered a few times.. Could you maybe credit whoever HIT him with landing a good punch instead of trying to discredit someone who shows that is only what we all are.. Very Human...
You picked Cotto by KO? If anyone would get KO'd I believe it would be Cotto. How many times have Oscar been rocked? Now how many times has Cotto been rocked? Cotto may not have the weakest chin but sure not the greatest.

De la Hoya would have a good chance in this fight but I would make Cotto the favorite.

Yo freedom, I read on "BoxingNews" that De La Hoya "is" back at 147!!! rumor has it he's after Ricky Hatton.

I don't think Cotto has a HORRIBLE chin, BUT, De Le Hoya has a NICE left hook. De La Hoya has a decent chin himself, meaning he can stay in there for a while with Cotto swinging away. If he hits Cotto (a guy who only has a decent defense) enough with those shots and lands a couple of good shots, he'd be my pick. Cotto, would tear his ass up though if the fight goes passed 9 or 10 rounds though. My personal opinion.

I hope Floyd does retire so Oscar can clean up his leavings in the welterweight division, do it with style, and leave Floyd a forgotten relic of boxing's dark ages.
