You should have stopped that sentence after the word educated. It would have been a true statement in my opinion. Let's face it, the majority of MMA fans aren't necessarily the best and brightest society has to offer. Now, I'm not saying that us boxing fans are more evolved than mma fans... wait, yea, that is what I'm saying pretty much. MMA fans are basically the same people who think pro wrestling is entertaining.

When I posted that I initially thought I was going to get some hate response but it seems most agree with me. It's kinda like the elephant in the room nobody wants to mention. I will say it's natural not racist to back someone based on ethnic background. Being an English Yank(English-American) I always cheer for british fighters. Combat sports has and will likely stay an ethnic driven sport just look at the careers of Cooney,Mancini,Pazienza,Gatti,Ward and even modern fighters like John Duddy Exciting white fighters have always put asses in seats. And I think that's what the UFC has been capitalizing on.

Alot of boxing fan stayed in boxing. Some may watch both but I rarely see or heard about anyone completely switching from boxing to MMA. I myself really like boxing and when MMA came along, I just watch and enjoy both.

Obviously I don't have any research or anything like that to back up what I'm saying (I don't think too many studies have been done on the topic). Once again, I'm just saying that it's my opinion that if you took the average IQ of boxing fans it would be higher than the average IQ of MMA fans.
