MMA will win this poll, and I'm not hating either. It's realistic.
I agree. Seriously speaking I think fights like the Floyd/DLH has shifted a lot peoples mind about boxing. interview after interview everyone seems to reflect on that fight.
It pisses me off that Boxing is included in the same poll as professional wrestling. I don't like when it's compared to MMA either, but at least I can sort of see the connection with that one.
As for the poll results so far...
MMA - 37%
Boxing - 28%
None of the Above - 23%
Pro Wrestling - 12%
Boxing is leading in Vermont.... and nowhere else. Most of the West Coast has MMA over Boxing by pretty wide margins (about 10-20%), and although it's closer on the East Coast (1-10%), MMA is still in the lead there as well.
Boxing is tied with MMA in Arkansas (thanks to Jermain Taylor), New Jersey (thanks to Atlantic City), and Connecticut (thanks to a history of some pretty decent fights/fighers).
MMA only sells because it's predominately white, and I'm not hating either. I'm just telling the truth
Your right. It's sad when people cant get over skin colour and just respect a champion is a champion no matter what colour his or her skin is. I'm white by the way.

Hey, MMA isn't beating boxing by as much as I suspected. 37% to 28% is a fairly significant margin, but it is not the huge landslide that I expected. Especially when you factor in that MMA's target market are people of "the internet age" so there is automatically an advantage on internet polls. This shows that there are indeed still boxing fans around.
