Bruno, McGuigan, Tyson, Benn, everyone watched them.

Not until Tyson did I become super-interested. There'll never be another Tyson - Peter wasn't, Lacy wasn't, and Miranda wasn't, get over it America.

My interest began watching Tyson Ko spinks and my grandfather getting me and my brothers a heavy bag early in life.

I got started by meeting the boxer Howard Davis as a kid. I was friends with his son & when I learned that he was a boxer I started watching it with his son & was hooked ever since.

It was Muhammad Ali, the movie Hurricane Carter, and male machismo that drove me to the sport of boxing.

I was 12 and was into rebellion and fighting the system, and after watching the movie Hurricane Carter a bunch of times, I saw that there was a Muhammad Ali marathon on ESPN Classic. I identified with Ali's brashness and bravado and became obsessed with him.

I kinda lived vicariously through his ring exploits, even 30 years after the fact. I then decided I needed to get in shape so I went to the local boxing gym to lose some weight and have been addicted ever since.

It's kinda embarrassing, but I started watching boxing after seeing "Rocky IV" on video tape. After that, my friends and I bought some everlast gloves and started boxing in my basement and beat the crap out of each other frequently.

Insofar as being a spectator, I watched FNF regularly and watched all the Tyson and Holyfield fights at my uncle's house(he had hbo and ppv).
