Why all the criticism?

I thought Floyd would get some respect now that he is definitely fighting Hatton.

Before fighting DLH, many said he should fight Margarito, Hatton and Cotto.

He could've chosen to stay home chillin' and counting his millions.

He's willing to fight a young, undefeated, and respected fighter,
and he still can't get a break.

Whoever he fights there's always going to be haters out there saying he's ducking so and so, but I feel a fight with Hatton is a good one for the same reasons Mindbat said. Plus the atmosphere in Vegas is going to be crazy with all the fans that Hatton brings. If it is going to be November 10th then that would be an awesome back to back week of fights with Kessler/Calzaghe being the week before.

This will be a great fight. A good test of Floyd's ability to handle an aggressive style. I am sure he'll do well.

I can be very anti Floyd's ethos and personality however this is a superb fight. Shane is a superb fighter but long in the tooth now. Floyd is making a good start by fighting Hatton. Cotto and Margharito next and I'll start to give him full credit for a full career.

fight hasn't been signed yet, as far as i know Hatton is on holiday not talking about making the fight until earlier August. I don't where you got ur info from but i don't buy any of it. When its official ill believe it until then i won't get both these guys in the ring together has been a nightmare. so don't jump the gun yet lads

Floyd cant duck someone that he openly challenged. Everyone knows that Shane turned the fight down so why do people try to spin it like that didnt happened. Since that time Shane has beat Collazo and Floyd has beat Oscar. What exactly couldve happened to make Floyd shook all of assudden. The fact is Floyd saw how Hatton packed the house and saw someone who he could really sell with. I dont think the Mosley fight is out the window. Infact, I think it gets even bigger now. Say Floyd beats Hatton and in the meantime Shane beats Cintron for his title and looks great again. Then that fight would be huge.

The thing is that people are hating on the guy on a whole new level now. I remember when everyone thought that Mosley would be the fight and everyone called Floyd a scared punk who is fighting old guys and ducking the young lions.
