that was after the second vargas fight when shane decided to pass up 10 million to fight floyd in november so oscar could make 50million in may. shane is an idiot he made less then 2 million fighting collazo while oscar and floyd both increased their earings.

shane is going to have to wait or try and pick up a title from ciontron or cotto to make a floyd fight interesting.

A few things:

(1) Hatton better not be on too long of a vacation...once he found out PBF was serious about taking the fight, he should have decided to get in the gym and stay there until fight week. I don't mean in actual training, as it would be insane to recommend a 4-month training camp, but at least staying in shape for a month or so with light workouts daily before ramping up into full training mode.

(2) I will give Floyd credit for taking this fight, no matter the weight or locale. Great fight, great for boxing, IF it is indeed close to official. If this gets done for Nov.10, what an incredible first two weeks of November, with Calzaghe-Kessler for Nov.3 and possibly PBF-Hatton Nov.10. HBO would be crazy to not buy the Calzaghe-Kessler fight in light of this, budget schmudget.

(3) People need to stop ripping Mosley. How can you say he is scared of Floyd? This is a guy who moved up TWO weight classes to take on a top 3 P4P guy (DLH), fought Forrest when no one else would and then immediately rematched him after getting dominated, fought Winky for chump change considering the money that was on the table for a third fight with DLH, and then immediately rematched him after getting dominated. That doesn't sound like a guy afraid to lose or get embarrased (as he did in the first fights with Forrest and Winky). Let's not forget how much bigger Winky is than Mosley, either. So perhaps Mosley turned down an opportunity to fight Floyd last year, but how can you criticize Mosley for turning down that fight and not Floyd for turning down Margarito? Whether or not he passed on a fight (and let's not forget, perhaps the terms of a fight were not ideal, either), no one can accuse Mosley of being scared, his track record proves otherwise.

(4) I really hope this gets signed. I was worried that after Hatton's momentum slowed down a bit since an extra couple of weeks have passed after his big win that talks were stalling and would die, but perhaps not. Boxing needs this fight.
