    Explain something about Lewis.

How come every fighter that holds gets criticized for doing it.........but I never heard anyone point to maybe the biggest clincher of all time In Lennox Lewis?

How about you re watch his fights and you'll see how bad it was. All he did was push the jab, hold........push the jab and then throw a right behind it. Occasionally he'd throw a right cross to the body (which was his best punch in fact, see what it did to Tua and McCall both cringed when it landed). Also there was a moment where he'd throw a couple of uppercuts but guess what? Right after he was done clinching.

My point is there seems to be a double standard about that.

It all comes back to one thing...or actually man. Emanuel Steward. That seems to be his M.O. for all of his big heavyweights.

      Two words.

      Emanuel Steward.

And yes, there are double standards, but people don't point it out because Lewis proved himself against top opposition.

Lewis...heck ALI did the same thing except he added the rabbit punch to his arsenal.

It all comes down to the fact that Lewis was a champ's champ. He defeated all of the fighters who ever beat him and you would never see him quiver in fear as soon as a punch landed against him right on the button. You also never saw him crawl across the ring like a girly man.

true, even if Lennox was knocked out cold he would come back the next fight like it never happened, and win, as compared to Roy after he got knocked out you could look at him in the ring and see he wasn't the same

Wait a minute. I never was trying to discredit him, but now that you bring it up I remember him being KTFO cold by two fighters.

              [Sarchasm]
I don't know what's worse........getting repeatedly knocked down and making attempts at getting right up or being KTFO COLD.

Lmao, I ain't got a clue, you gotta think you don't want to be knocked out cold because your just laying there stiff looking up with a blank stare like Rahman - Lewis 2, or Roy against Johnson, but at the same time you don't wanna be doin the Zab Judah "I've had one too many" dance across the ring just to stumble back down to the canvas, I've always thought about which one is worse.

i got every lennox lewis fight on dvd and although he did hold a bit it was not excessive, the biggest problem with lewis for me is that although he was a great champ he was not that exciting.
