Ridiculous. It's not a middleweight title bout above 160, though it's still a good fight.
They couldn't make this decision anytime before now, within hours of the fight being signed? If the weight was such a big problem, why didn't they say the Spinks fight would be his last fight at the weight?
Seems like a ploy to move up and never lose his middleweight title to me, though many boxing media and fans never think he should have won it in the first place. -

If Taylor's willing to sacrifice half his purse to get the weight changed, it's okay. Otherwise Pavlik shouldn't accept this.Comment

Pavlik was gonna move up to super middle after this fight anyway, but he obviously planned on winning the middleweight title first. I think Pavlik's camp is gonna make sure this fight is at 160.Comment
