I know self confidence is good but is to much bad??? Like in the case of Vic and Donaire!!! Vic isnt short on confidence and he has a strong belief that he will knock his opponent out!!!

So is being over confident bad???

True, but overestimating yourself can be bad too.

I think it depends on the fighter and the opponent. Bruce Lee said, before a fight you shouldnt think about winning or losing, keep a clear mind and just let nature take its course. It's like a way of reaching your chi, you know when your playing a sport and you do things without even thinking about it, thats you in touch with your chi.

I tend to overestimate the ppl I face. Just to be an extra step ahead of them and they dont even know it.

having too much confidence in yourself makes fighters take ****** chances or let the other guy back into the fight when they shouldn't, by sticking out their chin, etc, or dropping your hands infront of a puncher like nate campbell did with robby peden. that fight is still so funny to watch

I say yes, too much can in fact be bad.

I think it is good to be a little nervous because it keeps you sharp. Plus as many people mentioned it could lead to underestimating your opponent and that is never a good thing.
