What do you think of Wladimir Klitschko?

He makes his opponents, who are regarded as solid contenders before he fights them, look like tomato cans. He just made a fighter who was known to be relentless and have lots of heart, quit on his stool.

He's a bona fide top heavyweight, and could be on his way to becoming an all-time great

Not bad, but he would be no more than a fringe contender in any other era

Klitschko is undoubtively the best hw out there today and is really coming into his 'prime' but I think it's too early to say that he's on his way to 'greatness.' The problem right now, and what you hinted at, is that Wlad's competition is such that he hasn't been tested and is dominating every opponent he faces.

I think that his domination of his opponents is a combination of two things: first; Wlad, as I stated, is in his prime and is an extremely tough man to defeat or expose. Secondly, Wlad's competition has been good but not great and this is not his fault but a result of a shallow talent pool.

However, I feel that Wlad has the potential and willingness( in the post fight interview you could tell he wants to achieve greatness) to become an era defining hw and become the 'undisputed hw champion of world." In other words, he has to unify and then reign as the hw champ to create the lasting legacy he wants so desperatly...

Greatness is relative to era. With that in mind, Klitschko may be ready to roll the division for a few more years and that would put him in heady company. There might be eras where he would have been a lower tier contender, but there are others where he would be a beast. Should he defeat the winner of Chag-Ibra, he's the champ and can make his bones from there.

If he doesn't lose for the next 3-4 years and At least gets another belt in the process..
He will have to at least be considered top 15.. And I would put him higher

He simply dominates and makes all his opponents look like bums..

I think it's still too early to call great or something.

The best way to clear that argument is for Klitchko to unify the belts and then he can make a case for greatness.

But right now, he is the best HW out there. Unless proven to the contrary.

Don't care much about Wlad Klitschko to be honest. He's a good fighter but not one i'm very exited about.. One the previous era he would not be a top contender let alone champion imo, based on what a past his prime lenox lewis did to his brother, who is, in my opinion better than wlad.

But Vitali was winning that fight with Lewis, until the bleeding from the cut got so bad the ref had to stop it.

If not for the cut, Vitali would have KOed Lewis IMO...

If he was fighting in the early to mid 90's, he would be a top challenger, with a possibility of winning a title, but wouldn't be considered the creme de la creme of the big boys, as he is now. He certainly is no bum, in any era, he's no all time great, but calling him a fringe contender would be doing him an injustice.
