Unless he brushed up on his skills while sparring with Winky, he really needs a new trainer, Even if they fight at a catch weight of 170, Tito can come in at 160 if he wants and he just cant be above 170, This will put a strain on Roy as well, he might not be as strong in this fight. That was the case when he was at heavy then went back down in weight to fight Tarver..he looked weak and flat.

      Yeah.

He's just not muscular so he lacks the calorie burning mass. But either way he hits harder than any muscle head on the planet who weighs the same as him. That's just Tito.

And I agree he needs to be lean and mean at 147.

Then you would have to discount all the other fights and title he won WITH his dad's help. But I agree with you that there are times Papa Trinidad will lack in making even some simple adjustments (where were the lead rights in the Winky fight?!?!); maybe going the route of brining in someone else to assist in the corner, as Oscar did with Gil Clancy and I forget who else. But I'm not crazy about that and can lead to too many people yapping away in the corner, confusing the fighter.

nah, Tito made crazy millions! That dude leads a healthy lifestyle, he definately ain't broke. Tito has been on the scene in most major fights, was even at ringside at the Taylor fight. Was even talking about fighting Cory Spinks.

Being at ringside, and hearing all the fans go crazy.....
I'm sure Tito Trinidad misses that like crazy. That, and all the attention Miguel Cotto is getting.

i can see that in him when he is sitting on the sidelines, he really wants to back in the middle of it. But if he cant adjust better than he did against hopikins or winky he will be on the wrong side of the finishing line versus any top dog out there. This is why I think he should bring in someone to supplement papa's deficiencies.

Maybe he should look at someone like Floyd snr, freddie or even Buddy for any future fights!!! He has alot of skill left in him but i would rather see tito fight cotto or fight Margarito or even hatton!!! Not Roy!!! Taylor might be a bit easier to beat then roy!!!

Buddy would be good, or maybe a Dan Goosen. Not to take anything away from Trinidad Sr but he even admited himself that he couldnt really help his son, its time for a change Tito has plenty of fight in him.

yeah, but who would train Trinidad?? The language barrier, the adjusting to new techniques....

Papa Trinidad just has to supplement new strategies.
