  • if tito wants to win another fight...

He better get rid of his dad as trainer. In each of his losses Sr was absolutely worthless in fact he contributed to both Hopkins stopping him and Winky beating him silly. He is unable to make adjustments in fights, gives bad advice and Roy Jones jr, old or not will capatalize. He will also be the bigger man, much bigger. I hope for Tito's sake this fight don't happen. thoughts?

I heard someone say that Trinidad trying to fight at the higher weight is a truly bad idea.. Tito can't put it on properly..

He just ends up with love handles.

Strike that, if Tito ever wants to be able to eat solid foods again, he won't fight Roy Jones Jr.

I agree with this. Tito should be fighting at 154. He never was naturally big enough for middle weight let alone any higher.

I agree, I think thats he biggest problem. In all of his losses plus the fight with DLH, his father didnt tell him anything helpfull, just "were doing good" and smack him in the face..lol..Tito strongest weight is 154 for sure he was a monster in his fights at that weigh, but he can do well at 160 becuase of his power he just needs a better trainer.

This fight with Jones is supposed to be at 170 right? It just doesn't make sense to me why Trinidad would come back to fight at such a heavy weight. Is he just unable to get down to 160/154? If that's the case, then why is King hyping a potential mega-fight with ODLH? I just find the whole thing a little confusing.

Regarding the fight with Jones, if Trinidad is in good shape and gets some solid training in, I think he can hang with Jones for a little while, otherwise I think Jones will beat him to the punch consistently (yes, THIS Roy Jones), and Junior would coast to a UD victory.

i dont know if tito's pride cant let him go out the way he did or if this is about the money opportunity. somehow i get the feeling tito wouldnt be willing to make the change at least for a period of time long enough to get results

im a little confused myself and ive never heard a 170 catch weight officially mentioned. Roy will probably smack him around.
