Was Brewster vs Klitschko a dissapointment?

Disappointed?
Maybe seeing a KO, or at last some KDs would have been more entertaining.
But to have a warrior like Relentless Lamon Brewster quit on his stool is a huge victory by itself.
I thought this fight was more competitive than the first 4 rounds of their first fight. Like Wlad said in the interview, he was able to land anything he threw at will.
This fight Lamon was doing a good job with the head side-to-side movements, which made Wlad miss some of those Jabs (and we all know when that Jab is thrown, IT LANDS) he also ducked from some of those monstrous rights Wlad threw and was able to land some great body punches, where even I felt Wlad's ribs (ouch)
Anyway.. Wlad is Head and Shoulders above the rest (no pun intended) and will outclass any world class fighterComment

it was anti-climactic. wald was consistantly dominant, but he never really had a moment that put brewster on the edge of defeat. mcgirt stopped the fight because brewster took too much punishment (from the jabs) but not the kind of punishment we'd expect
im happy wlad won and won by TKO, but the TKO wasnt very satisfying. you could see that on wlad's face after the fight. he sort of shrugged like "what are you gonna do?"Comment

Not boring at all... I actually heard that Wlad lost in unexciting fashion on this site before watching the fight...
So I was expecting that Wlad just threw nothing but his left jab and barely threw any rights to a decision against Brewster.
Watching the fight, it was much more exciting than that. He was so accurate and threw an amazing amount of 1-2s which includes that right hand. Wlad showed me that he really is a great boxer and doesn't need to pace himself Shannon Briggs style.Comment

brewster didnt have anything on wlad he couldnt touch the man
one sided domination i always go into watching a fight hoping i see a close one and this wasnt one
so ya id say i was a lil disappointed even tho wlad showed some real domination yesterdayComment

counter punch
Quote kiltchko seems afraid of all and any counter punches, lol he pops that jab and just waits for a counter for 3 minutes straight..
Yeah and in this case he jabbed, jabbed again, and then hit him with a right
that popped so loudyou could hear it over the commentary.
Turns out Vlad broke his middle finger during the fight and now has a cast to the elbow for 8 weeks. Maybe that's why we didn't hear as much pop when Lamon was hit with the left jab.
I thought Vlad could have hooked more with the left than he did.The broken hand may have prevented what would certainly have been a good weapon for him in the fight.

Yeah it was a disapointment, Brewster was damaged goods coming in. He should have been a REAL proffesional and not fought until healthy and not taken a title shot until he had some tune-ups.

ready
Yeah you could see that he was not ready for Vlad. Maybe for some other fighter but clearly not for this fight.
I watched for a counter left hook from Lamon after Vlad threw the double jab
but his left was almost under his right armpit while he tried to block the jabs with his right. He then got hit with the big right because he was wide open for it. http://www.youtube.com/rikd7
scroll to vlad's right that ended the fight.Comment
